I just got this fortune yesterday:

"God will give you everything that you want."

Sounds good to me!

I never kept them, but on vacation last month, I got a good one, and I started keeping them (but only the really good ones)... I think it said something about me getting everything I want.

I always throw the cookie away.

Anyone ever add "in bed" after their fortune?? My friends and I always do that.

My fortune yesterday- You are the center of all social situations.

Yeah we always add the "in bed" part after reading the fortune cookie too! LMAO, makes for some great fortunes sometimes!

Anyone have any ritual for their fortune cookie eating?! Like do you read the fortune first? Do you eat the cookie and then read the fortune?

I always eat the cookie first and then read it. That way the cookie absorbs what I'm reading

I only save the really funny ones.

My favorite:

"You will be hungry soon. Order take-out now."

sometimes I'll save my fortunes and put them in my ID window in my wallet. The one I have in there now says "good things come in small packages" because I'm kinda small and I thought it was cute. My ex-boyfriend's family does the "in bed" thing...doesn't really go with teh fortune I have saved though

My favorite is up on my PC monitor:

"Rarely do great beauty and great virtue dwell together as they do in you..."

*sigh* So true, sooo true

For my elementary school graduation in grade 8 we went to a Chinese Buffet. The contest was to see how many fortune cookies you could eat without getting a repeat fortune.

I love eating fortune cookies. And I tend to save the ones that are the most meaningful to me. I once saved a fortune that said something like "The world would be a better place if there were less paperwork" and posted it on my corkboard at work. I once had someone tell a group of us that you're supposed to get the fortune cookie where the fold is pointing at u when arranged on a plate.

I'm not making this up:

Years ago I went into a McDonalds and ordered a special that was running at time: Chicken McNuggets Oriental. (Don't ask, you don't want to know, other than they were cheap.) They came with a fortune cookie, and the fortune read: Soon you will meet someone McSpecial. I groaned and gave it little more thought, other than to think that it was McHokey. Then a few weeks later, I met the lovely lady who is now Ms. MysticCat.

Speaking of Ms. MysticCat, we have a small framed fortune from a fortune cookie at our front door -- it says: You will attract cultured and artistic people to your home.

Has anyone noticed how often fortune cookies have no fortunes in them? Instead, they have good advice, proverby-type things. Grates on my nerves. I want a fortune, dagnabbit.
