Lsat
The LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) is next week, October 4. Is anyone else taking it?
I'm a nervous wreck!

I was supposed to, but I decided to postpone it for a few years in order to go back and get another undergrad. But good luck - you'll do great!

Good luck.
I wanted to take the October 4th LSAT but I have to wait and take the next one. I think it's sometime in December but I'm not sure.

I *think* my friend took Kaplan or Princeton Review (1 of those) prep classes for the LSATs... or it was some other person I know who took the LSATs. I don't know, I suffered through a Journalism Law class and that was a nightmare in itself.

My score was pretty much bad enough to keep me from getting into 3 of the schools I was looking at...I'm retaking it in December, because if I don't at least try one more time, I will feel like I wasted the $1200 on a prep course and 6 months of my life.

How did you do this time around on the LSAT? Good enough to get you in to your top 3? I've started getting all my offers and rejections. I got rejected from the 1 out-of-stater I was seriously considering...George Mason. But I got almost a full ride to UofL with $18,000 over 3 years....the cost is something like $6,600 per year. I only got $2000 to UofK, but I think I'll take that. It'd be hard to turn down Wash&Lee, but I don't think I'll get in anyway considering my results so far. cheers~

I did a whopping 3 points better the second time around. I took it December 6, which was the day before my 22nd birthday, and the weekend after my exam week. Perfect timing!
Anyways, I'm still waiting to hear back from any school, I've been "put on hold" at UMiami. They asked for any additional material that could help my application so I sent in my transcript with Fall 2003 grades (I got straight A's) and got a letter of recommendation from my internship supervisor at the State Attorney's Office.
My top choice at the moment is Florida State, and I probably won't hear from them til April.
Cory, that's awesome to hear about your scholarship offers! Sorry to hear about George Mason, but your other choices are great! Good luck with everything.

I took mine last year and by my standards -- and by what I needed to go where I wanted to go, I bombed the sucker.
I started taking a Kaplan review course recently. After my 2nd practice test, I've improved my score by 17 points --plenty to spare

I took it last December and I didn't do as well as I had hoped...while not a shabby score.... I got 3 points below the average score for the school I applied to... and got waitlisted at said school... so if I end up getting rejected in teh end I will re take in fall and hopfully do A LOT better !! LSAT is a pretty tough test especially those stupid logic game questions give me the HARDEST TIME !
