Failure to Disclose
What does everyone think about George W's failure to disclose his DUI arrest 24 years ago?

I ain't no GWB fan, but I think that a DUI 24 years ago is irrelevant to the race now.

I agree with you both. I mean man, why would ANYONE volunteer something like that? I'm not a fan either, but, he gave a dignified response which is a lot better than, " I did not have sex with that woman." by you know who. lol
Ay on a tangent....
In the snickers commercial about voting...why does the one representing Gore keep saying he invented stuff? Just a question that I'd love an answer to.

I think it is relevant....not because of what he did....but because of the fact that he is trying to be "Mr. Morality" and keeps painting Gore out to be a moral-less liar. I think if he had not try to act like he was holier than thou, this would not be an issue, but it makes you wonder what else has he done. And AlwaysDivine.....the comment is a throwback to Gore's claim that he "invented the internet"....Peace

To answer your question to my best knowledge. The internet has been around for a long time but it wasn't for public use. Al Gore was the one that made the decision to let the public have access to the internet.

Is that the ONLY thing he hasn't disclosed?

What I would really like to hear more about is the charge that he has used cocaine in the past. To my knowledge, he has never once denied that.

I am not a GWB fan either...but
if everyone in/running for office had to open up their "closets" for examination - we would probably see a lot of skeletons!!! Yes, George has been acting like he walks on water so I thought it was a little funny that the story came out. I am sure there are people in/running for office who have in the not so distant past...committed adultery...smoked something illegal...paid for sex...was paid for sex...had sex with the same sex...stole something...lied...had an abortion...paid for an abortion...and the list goes on and on....
Twenty-four yrs ago is a long time. If it happened last year or two years ago I might be a little more concerned. Hopefully after Tuesday - none of this will matter and Georgie can go back to Texas. I pray the only way he makes it to the White House is on one of those little tours.

I agree with Catwoman, but at the same time I also think Politicalcutie made a good point. I have grown very tired of George W. attacking Al Gore's character and portraying him as morally corrupt. It seems as though in the process of judging someone else, he forgot about his own flaws.

LOL @ Soror Catwoman's comment about Bush visiting the White House on a tour!!!
More jokes, hopefully we will be laughing on Tuesday night.
VOTING is like driving a car, you put it in "R" to reverse (go backward), and you put it in "D" for DRIVE (go forward). I hope we all make the right choice to Drive forward!!!!

Lady AKA: I'm feeling your "Drive Forward" comment.
Even though the electoral college actually votes for the pres., many people do not realize that what the popular vote is makes a statement also, meaning that most electors vote according to the popular vote (though a few do not). Also, it makes a statement saying we as minorities can mobilize, putting our disagreements aside, and fight for a common cause (which is to not let Bush ever set foot in the White House). We can't complain about anything if we did not vote and at least try to make a difference.
Secondly, IMO, I think that a candidate's past life should be irrelevant regarding how well he can serve this country, but depending on what it is, and on the images that he is attempting to portray for himself and his rival candidates (hence, Political Cutie's Comment, which I agree with). I don't think it would be an issue really now unless G.W. bush made it one--which he did--Ooops on his part!!

Sugar_N_Spice it must also be stated that though we don't vote the president in we vote for the amount of electoral votes to be cast from our state - and I can't remember the exact year but only once (maybe twice) in history has the Majority Electoral College vote ever strayed from what the popular vote. So, that is why it is important for us to do what we have to do on Tuesday ... by the way is anyone else celebrating black solidarity day today? Most city workers are laying at home, namely my mother and brother - I found out about the unofficial holiday tooooooo late, cause you know I would have been respecting my people and staying home - SLEEP

Catwoman.....that was TOO funny! But seriously, one reason that the polls we have seen have GWB up in varying degrees is because the pundits are counting on a low African-American turnout. Do y'all think this going to happen? I think we will have a record turnout simply because there has been a lot of emphasis placed on voting, from the NAACP to Tom Joyner's show and everything else.....what do you think?
