I just found out....

Hello, ladies! I'm sorry to crash your boards, but I just learned something really really exciting.

Neither of my parents are Greek (my dad didn't attend college; my mom was "too studious"), and neither of my grandmothers were, either. However, as I was talking to my grandfather the other day, he mentioned that my great-aunt had been highly involved in her chapter, and that I should email her to find out more.

She just replied today. She was a Pi Phi at Syracuse! Not only that, but two other women in my family, making a total of THREE generations, were Pi Phi's, also! One at Duke, and one at Swarthmore. I'm so excited!!!

I don't know how legacies work with you; these relationships are all cousins/great-aunts/great-great-aunts. There isn't a Pi Phi chapter at my campus, but I've heard such wonderful, glowing things about your organization nationally. I'm really honored to have at least some connection to it.

Greek love,
Jenn

Technically for us legacies are sisters, mothers, or grandmothers. However, I've always felt that you're a legacy at heart if any close family member is in the organization.

Thank you for your kind words about Pi Phi! Feel free to stop by the board anytime.

That's awesome to find those sorority connections. I don't have any in my family, but I'd love to start!
