shopping

I just took a new job, and I need to find clothes that meet the dress code requirements (business attire). Does anyone know of good places to find something I could wear that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Thanks!

Macy's usually has really good sales. And also Kohl's if you have one in your area. I got a four-piece suit there for $36. I'd also suggest Ann Taylor....but ONLY if they're having a rockin' sale. Casue she's kinda pricey...But try Macy's. They are usually pretty good.

I do a lot of my work shopping at Limited and Express. Both stores send me tons of coupons because I opened up credit cards.

I'm crashing here instead of in the board crashing thread.

Try TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Daffy's, Burlington or other off-price places. You have to hunt, but sometimes you get really lucky. If you need to buy pantyhose, you can also get good ones here at a low price, and they will last, rather than buying cheap pantyhose.

Also, at department stores, try the misses' section instead of the juniors...the stuff is not as trendy, and it's easier to find basic pieces that you can use in multiple outfits.

This is just heresay b/c I have never shopped there before...but several of my friends say that they have found good, classic suits at Casual Corner.

That being said, Ann Taylor's fall sale should be coming up in a few weeks when you will find lots of suits 40% off. I am a huge advocate of AT b/c while you might pay a bit more...they are extremely well cut, well made, and classic.

I am currently trying to build my suit wardrobe as well so if I come across some stores with good deals I'll let you know
