People on TV

Have any of you ever seen one of ur friends on tv?

A while back when the Wayne State Greeks had their lip sync, a few of my sisters stayed after and hung out with Eminem and crew. Then they called my girls when they were gona shoot the new Obie Trice video, "Got some Teeth". Woohoo another day to hang out with Em!

So I download the video, thinkin yeah right I'm sure they showed them with all the girls they had there. And there she is... one of my sisters. In the Obie Trice video.

Anything ever happen like that to anyone?

My sister is in the background of the new Tim McGraw video. She was in the audience at his concert. I have not seen the video yet.

My mother is in the background of an episode of Law and Order. She was walking by as they were taping in the courthouse.

The guy that I got my first "real" kiss from was on an episode of that hideous MTV show, "Undressed". That was really weird seeing him on there!

My high school a capella group was on this regional nightly newsmagazine show my senior year. We were the intro and the outro to a piece on the state proficiency exam (parents in my town protested). They zoomed in on all of our faces, I have a tape of it somewhere as it was probably my 15 minutes of fame!

My friendly neighborhood vet was on tv when he was president of the local veterinary society. He was commenting on a proposed change in the rabies shots law.

Besides me being on TV a few times (was on Romper Room twice and the news twice), I've seen random people I know on the local news at my school being interviewed. I once saw my hot TA (he looked like Michael Vartan) on the news at one of our bars... he was interviewed about a game.

She wasn't really a friend but a classmate of mine back in high school. She actually made it to the final round of Fear Factor. Unfortunately she didn't win the money.

Having worked in TV for many years, I know a whole lot of people on TV.

However, one of my sons-in-law is presently playing a small part (a poacher) in an Animal Planet series episode.

And, I just heard that one of our Northern Colorado Delts is moving from the Orlando (I think) market to the NBC stations in Philly. I think he'll be a morning show anchor -- but not really sure about that. Only met him once. (Trying to remember his name.)

Oh, I forgot. When I was in college I worked as a vacation relief (summer replacement) live announcer (they used to have those) at the NBC affilliate in Columbus, Ohio. For a couple of weeks, I filled in on a live show we did called The Nick Clooney Show. He's George's dad.

Cool

There was a guy from my school who was on "The Weakest Link" for Greek week. He's a KA at USA. I think he nearly made it to the end, but I can't remember.

Also, that show on MTV where they are looking for dancers...I can't remember the name right now, but they were in Atlanta interviewing the people trying out and those who were cut. One of the girls who was cut and then interviewed went to high school with my little sister and was a cheerleader with her!

I've only been on the local cable channel here for a Ronald McDonald Benefit concert with one of the bands I work with. Seeing yourself dancing on TV is horrible! I got recognized at every bar I went to for weeks!

Many many many years ago, back in middle school, I had a friend who was on the Arsenio Hall show. He played drums for a band called "Perfect Gentlemen" (one hit wonders) and went on tour with New Kids on the Block, which at that time was just super cool!

My high school's show choir sang at Bush's inauguration and were all over the national news.
