Chicago! (no, not the movie musical...)

So, I am headed for Chicago on Sunday for a few days. While it's mostly an interview for jobs/look for apartments kind of trip, I'm gonna have some time for fun - so does anyone have any hot spots I can't miss? Any good vegetarian resturants? And visitor tips? I've never been before, so I'm kinda nervous - but very excited!

That's my thread! I went on a boat tour that talked about architecture tha was really interesting, and I don't even like architecture that much. But the buildings in Chicago are just beautiful!

Have a great time and good luck on the interview!

The best place to look for apartment is at the Chicago Reader. They also have a great restaurant review section where ordinary people write reviews (I've even done a few). I'm sure it's mentioned on the other thread, but Metromix is also good for finding stuff to do.

As for vegetarian restaurants -- what kind of food do you want? I could list a million great places. Chicago Diner is probably the best purely vegetarian place, but there are tons of others that are vegetarian friendly. Let me know, and I'll give you some suggestions!
