I played the last few years I played with a Prince Extender, which I wouldn't suggest to anyone unless they have a lot of experience. It was frickin' HUGE.

It depends on your size, how much power you want, and how often you're going to play. Decent enough rackets for casual play can be purchased at a Wal-Mart or Target. For a better one, you'd be better off going to a pro shop.

I upgraded in the last few years to a Wilson Hammer Head 5.3.

But I've also been playing tennis since I was 7 or 8.

My suggestion is to go a sporting goods store like Dunham's and get a cheaper, but good, raquet to start out with.

Ahh..good ole racquets...

Well..I personally need some info..like price range, how hard you swing, if you played any other sports (when I picked up racquetball it almost killed my tennis game), you know something like that. Mainly because I can give you PLENTY of advice of what kind to get, but it'll be more of my preferences

I'd get a cheap but good one just because most rackets are the same if your just playing for fun.
