				Alum Chapters in NE???

			Hey Everyone!

Long time no see....Anyway, I has a question. Does anyone know of alum chapters in New England? I'm interested in a gradschool in Vermont, but I couldn't find any alum chapters up there *sniff, sniff* So if anybody knows of any in the area, that'd be a great help. Thanks!

There's one in Boston that I know of. I think there might be one in NH as well. Where are you going to grad school?

Well, depending on where you are in Vermont, there's a Hartford CT/Springfield MA Chapter (so if you're seriously southern VT, that works)

There *might* be one in Albany, again, that whole southern VT thing.

Then again, you might be able to start one up -- you can find out from the EO just how many people live in a reasonable driving distance from where you are. I'd say if it's over 100, you have a great chance of getting the 6 people needed to start an alum chapter.

Hi Claire, I'm thinking of going to Middlebury...though I think the grad program is only for summers, which I don't like much, but anyway....

DAOINE~ I'm looking at Middlebury, which is close to the NY border....I'll have to contact Nationals and see what the dealio is up there. Thanks!

Allie, Talk to Liz R., she's doing the summer language program at Middlebury this summer. You can try IMing her, she's online fairly often.

We now have a Vermont Alumnae Chapter! We just chartered in July with 15 members! Right now we cover all of Vermont and the Northeastern part of New York. I'm the president of the chapter and if you would like any more info, feel free to email me at ufshan2885@frontiernet.net
Thanks!
Shannon

She did, in fact, move to Vermont. Shannon, if you'd like to give me your contact info, I can forward it on to her...

I pop into these forums on occassion and saw your post. If you e-mail me at mbstrags@yahoo.com, I can send you information on all of the NE alumnae chapters. There are 6 chapter in NY, and a chapter each in VT, NH, MA, CT, and I believe Maine and hopefully you will be able to find something close to you.

OK, now does anybody know of alumnae chapters close to Monterey, CA? All of the alumna chapters I can find in CA are like 300 miles away. Not good.

 Mmm...Monterey. I *love* Monterey.

The Santa Clara chapter isn't *that* far -- but it's still a hike. The Phi Mu website really isn't quite up to date with all the chapters -- there might be one that's a little more central.

Of course, if there isn't, that means it's pretty much high-time that one started up.
