i'm at work today. a sunday, but the newspaper must come out every dang day. anyway i just looked on the cnn web site and i was so shocked. i didn't even know that he had cancer. it's just so sad that he was 57. so young and so talented. may his soul rest in peace and his spirit live on.. he could tap his butt off... and don't forget that he did sing a little.

I heard about his death while listening to the radio on my way to pick apples and peaches. He was a very talented actor and dancer on stage and screen. He will be missed, but his work and accomplishments will live on for future generations

I was flipping the channels and someone was reporting it. I kinda guessed when they were talking about him in the past tense.

He was a wonderful actor, dancer and person.

What?! This is so sad.

He's one of those guys you think will be around forever, his dancing talent was so unique and unforgettable.

He was way cool. A great dancer, and a great personality.

I heard about it a couple of hours ago actually watching the news. This is such a tragedy. He was a very talented and gifted actor and an amazing dancer. He will be greatly missed

When I used to tap, Gregory Hines was the best.
He'll be missed. He did a lot of good for dance in his life - bringing it to people who would have never thought it was interesting.

He'll be missed
