School notes - keep or throw away?

Question ...

What did/do you do with all of your class notes once the class is over?? Roundfile/recycle/Burn them? or Keep them? for how long?

I've graduated now, but will soon be returning to school to continue my studies, and can't decide what, if any, notes I should keep from my undergrad program. I have 5 boxes and need to make some quick decisions.

Help! What did you do? ...

It was very common at my school for people to make bibles. Bibles ranged from just your lecture notes, to every piece of paper associated with a course, including problem sets, tests, and answer keys to same. You could then use these bibles as reference material later on if you took a course that built on the material, or you could lend them out to people taking that course in later semesters. Most living groups and GLOs had bible libraries; I donated a couple of bibles to my sorority.

its tradition for me to throw them away. i will not use them again. by the end of the semester, i am so sick of my notes.

You would have to be a cryptologist to decipher my notes; I just trash them I don’t think they would be of any use to anyone else.

I threw out most of them, but I did keep some that were especially intersting. For example, one of my western civ teachers (who, sadly, committment suicide shortly after retiring) created really easy-to-follow, yet very detailed outlines for each of his lectures. I've saved those, and I have gone back to them whenever I needed a history refresher! Keep the ones you think you'll need, then revisit in a year or two to see if you really do need them.

I've kept most of my notes from my Psych courses. Sometimes the material overlaps. I think I will be able to use those notes for grad school. I also kept my Psych textbooks for reference sake.

I kept all the notes and handouts from classes associated with my major. The rest got dumped out along the way.

I've kept only the notes from my photography classes. Being that I'm a photo major, I know I will find these notes useful in the future and I have alread. Everything else I chucked.

I kept all my chemistry and biology notes for future reference. I either got rid of the other class notes or I passed them to someone who was taking the same class.

I kept notes, particularly from my J-classes, for over 10 years.

i save mine! i saved my AP psych notes from high school, and thats all i used in my freshman psych class, i never went and got a B all thanks to my high school notes

I keep notes...if they are related to my major, sometimes I even keep the textbooks. I may never know when I need to look back at them in the future for some reason.

I only kept the notes from my majors. Now that I'm starting graduate school and some of the books that I read as an undergrad are on my program's required reading list, I'm happy that I kept them!

I burned my high school notes after graduation.

Munchkin03- I burned all my highschool notes too!

I only keep the notes I will use later in the teaching profession, just like my books

DA HA, why not give to the Chapter so that they can have a file on hand for a class that they maybe be taking?

If YU were smart enuff to pass, maybe it cqn be of help to someone else!

We used to keep files as Profs. usually gave the same test questions!

This especially true for tests!
