Say something nice...

Okay, game time. Say something nice about the sister that posted directly above you in this thread. You may post as many times as you like. I hope this doesn't look like I'm fishing for compliments! Haha, I just thought this would be a neat on-going pick-me-up kinda thread!

Well let's see...I "knew" CJ, pre-DG and now that she is a DG!

Pre-DG, I did not have much doubt that CJ would become a DG! You knew lots about DG from your Mom, you had a recommendation and you had a sincere, keen interest in Delta Gamma! I was pretty sure that you'd be wearing the 'golden anchor', and now you are!

CJ, you are smart and extremely creative. I've seen the website that you've done for Eta Kappa chapter and I was very impressed. I also know that you have wisdom beyond your years in what you know that can and can't manage (i.e. you were considering a different Officer's position, but in the end, went for the Webmaster/Communications position. Smart thinking! Best to take on what you can manage, not take on too much and not be to do it!)

I'm proud to have you as a sister, and I'm sure that your Mom, Barbara is looking down upon you and is proud to have you as a daughter...and a DG sister too!

Well I just can't say enough good stuff about Sigrid (aka CutiePie2000). I have written to her about my thoughts and feelings about being a new comer to Germany and some struggles I had when I first got here to adjusting and she was there for me to listen and help me. She is a world traveler which I think is very cool and she has been able to give me some good advice for Europe. She has been a sister to me when I have needed one and although it is possible we will never meet she has still been a good friend. She is also an awsome moderator (I think the best one on greek chat!) and I am so proud to have her as my sister! She is rockin'! LOL

While I don't know her that well, she seems to be an amazing lady (as all DGs are!) I admire her for her move to Germany (I know it was for military, but I'd be scared to move!). I would like to get to know her more!!

Let me say that I just *LOVE* Laura! It was so exciting to hear about her colony recruitment! I felt like I really connected with her since I had gone through the same thing. She seems to have an undying devotion to Delta Gamma and that is EXACTLY the type of women we need as we keep expanding nationally and internationally!

awww!! yea for laura!! this woman is fabulous!

we both share the same birthday (aug 13...so you better be sending us some birthday presents!!)
we both love shopping!! haha...for sweaters and tiffany's!! haha
and we are gonna save all the lost/stolen pins out there and donate them back to EO.

on a serious note:
in the short amount of time i have known her, she has shown such a love to Delta Gamma. i know anyone meeting her for the first time will see her love and pride towards Delta Gamma. she truely values everything that Delta Gamma is and represents and is dedicated to those beliefs that our founders set for us.

laura, i think you could definately take on some officer positions and be successful in whatever one you choose. you dedication to Delta Gamma in itself would definately spill over into a wonderful dedication to an office.

good luck in everything laura!!

all my litb, noreen

Ok I'm going to hit CJ since she and noreen seemed to post at the same time.

I absolutely love this woman! I remember the first time that she contacted Eta was when she heard that DG was colonizing at NC State and she told us her mom was an Eta and how excited she was. Then we met on GC and I got to see her grow through her colonization process, her initiation, her mother's struggle with cancer, and now into the strong brave young woman that she has always been! It was such a pleasure to get the opportunity to meet Barbara and CJ in December when they were visiting family in Akron for Christmas. We had some great times that night! I was so honored when CJ asked me to come to the service in Akron for Barbara. It was the day of Founder's Day so I skipped that morning and my mother and I went to the service. Absolutely gorgeous!! CJ and I then spent a long part of the day together and then she came to the house that night to participate with our Initiation. It was a complete honor to have you there!
CJ- You are an amazing woman with incredible strength and determination. You love your family and your DG sisters unconditionally and you are someone that I admire and am especially PROUD to call one of my good friends and DG sisters! LITB!

Ok.....I"ll do Noreen too, so she doesn't get left out!

I met Noreen when she was coming through Recruitment last fall. I was disaffiliated because I was Panhel President and I helped the PNMs with signing there Bid Cards. Noreen was a complete wreck and when I asked if she wanted to talk about anything or had any questions, she just told me to give her the card.....it was so funny but I knew that she just had to do it. I was so happy to find out later that she was coming home as one of our New Members! Her spirit is amazing and her personality is addictive. You always make me laugh and you go above and beyond when given a challenge! I can't wait to see the new website....it'll be awesome! I love you hun and I'll see you when rec prep starts on the 18th! LITB!!

Geeze! I have so many nice things to say about everyone! I should have just made a list and said things about everyone at once!

What to say about NOREEN...

Well first off, she has the best laugh in the world! And she uses it a lot. I think that is an excellent trait! She has such a positive outlook and it rubs off on everyone! Noreen is the type of sister that anyone can go to with a problem and she'll do all she can to fix it! She's so easy to talk to and is just bubbling with spirit! Those girls up at Eta Chapter are super lucky to have her! And I'm so proud to have her as one of my sisters!

Here you go Mel....

Melanie is awesome! She is SO genuinely caring about all of her sisters, and would do anything for anyone. She wears her sisterhood for everyone to see, and is the perfect example of 'membership for a lifetime'. I'm so glad that I got to meet her, and I'm thrilled that I can call her my sister!

Well thank you AJ! AJ has helped me out more than she will ever know! She really helped me get adjusted to military life and what I could expect living in Germany. And of course she has the WONDERFUL idea for the military DGs yahoo group! I was so glad to meet someone whose DG spirit rivals my own! She has been a wonderful sister and given me wonderful support when I have needed it most! I love how she is mischevious and tricky! lol She loves surprises just as much as I do! Thanks for being a wonderful sister! Because of gals like you DG really is best friends no matter where you go!

John's Dg

This woman is awesome! Not just because she moved overseas to Germany--- *Germany Rocks!* but because of the honest love for DG that she has. She shows such love for any DG that comes to the board and treats every new sister here like someone she's known forever. She welcomes all DG's with open arms and has been a sounding board for me, more than once.

Mandie is such a wonderful sister and friend! I admire her courage and her strength to confront her friends and her sisters about her feelings let alone allow us here on GC help her and encourage her. Its always nice to know that there is someone out there to help!

Plus the fact that we share the same birthday (only 2 years apart though) and that we can laugh at each other when it comes to the silly things that we did that night! She is such a great person to talk to and I totally enjoy every time that we get a chance to talk! By the way....we still need to do that road trip sometime, either you to akron or me to indiana!!

You took on a little GC sister with Laura and that was absolutely wonderful! The essence of sisterhood around the world! Keep up that DG spirit!

LITB!

Marie, you are a fabulous sister, and you have taught me SO much about the importance of the sisterhood that we share! You are an excellent role model for any Delta Gamma, and I'm glad you came back to us! Better late than never!
