Yesterday on Jeopardy they had a category called "Fraternities & Sororities," and thanks to GC, I got all of them right!
Anyway, here were the questions:
$400: A golden one of these is the symbol of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
What is a key, duh!
$600: This ancient musical instrument is the symbol of Alpha Chi Omega, whose oroginal motto was, "Ye daughters of music, come up higher."
What is the lyre!
$800: In 1989, Zeta Beta Tau abolished this pre-membership status in an effort to prevent hazing.
What is pledge!
$1000: Pi Beta Phi was one of the original members of the NPC, a group made up of national sororities, whose full name is this.
What is the National Panhellenic Council!
$1200: The first post-Civil-War fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega was founded at this institute, which produced many Civil War generals.
What is the Virginia Military Institute!
I was in the bathroom when I heard the $400 dollar question, and I shrieked, "OHMYGOD! IT'S A KEY! A GOLDEN KEY! OHMYGOD, KAPPA'S ON JEOPARDY!" and ran into the living room. My mom just gave me a Look that said, "Calm down, Andrea."
Yeah, I'm a dork.
Edited 'cuz I can't spell.
