Paper help

Our alumnae fall kick-off party is in September and as VP/Membership I'm in charge of it. Our theme this year is "Tee & Tiaras" and it is going to be held at a miniature golf course. I'm having trouble finding golf-themed paper at our local office supply stores. Any suggestions?

There are lots of places online where you can order paper.

Try this: APrettyPaperPlace.com

ColorsByDesign.com

TheInvitationShoppe.com

TheInvitationShop.com

Or try a local craft store in their scrapbooking section.

Good luck!!

I'd love to hear more about your event!! We are trying to come up with some new ideas for our group.

ZL,

Allison

Thanks so much! I had only come across one of those websites so I'm looking forward to checking out the others.

In the past few years for our fall kick-off/recruitment, we've had a dinner either at Neiman Marcus or a country club. There was an ice-breaker and lots of introductions and speakers but not much mingling. It was nice but boring. Our group is very social and fun and these kick-offs didn't really show the true personality of our group.

This year we're going to have a scavenger hunt with stations set up that tell a little bit about our chapter at each place...service, sisterhood, Foundation fundraising, awards, etc. At each station, you'll get your card signed/stamped plus a couple of other "Find that Zeta that is/did/has...". When you're done, put it in the bowl for a drawing for a prize.

The food is going to be more of a pasta bar or appetizers. (We're still working that out.) The speakers are going to be limited to introductions and then we're going to have a mini-golf tournament with prizes for low-scoring team. I really hope this works out well. So far everyone seems to like the idea but it is always hard to do something new.

I'm out in Southern California, and a group of us is in the middle of starting a new alumnae chapter. We are getting ready to prepare our first mailing/ meeting. Your ideas sound great! Do you think you could send me more details?

Thanks!
