I'd love to bounce around ideas about Rush. (I really, really want to visit another school's rush.) I'm freaking out because we REALLY need a strong pledge class in the Fall and Spring. What rounds do you guys have? We have the opening day where girls visit the 7 chapters, Philanthropy Round, Skit Night, and Pref Night.

We are in the same boat as you, needing a strong fall andspring rush! Fall rush is a drop easier b/c of formal rush! We have 3 NPC's on campus...us, AEPhi and A Xi D. There are 3 rounds before pref night.... The third one is more dressy then the other two and a little more formal. They are all themed...the two themes that are def. right now are SDT Angels and SDT Day at the Spa. The third one looks like it's going to be something along the lines of SDT Day at the Beach, but we are't 100% sure about this one yet. If you wat details about any of these PM me and I will share. We show a short video one night, and we do activities along the lines of making cards for sick children, etc. We try and give some time for Q & A (which is good if your not at a school with out of girls rushing) and just try to present eerything we have to offer.

We have seven sororities (ADPi, AEPhi, Tri-Delt, DPhiE, Theta, Kappa, and SDT) and about 400-500 girls go through Rush, so quota is usually about 50, which is larger than our chapter size.

Wow! Good luck! How many parties do the PMN go to each day? How big is your chapter? We only have 10 active!

We have about 30 active, but we were founded in 2001. The PNMs go to 7 parties the 1st day, max 5 the 2nd, max 3 the 3rd, and max 2 on pref night.

We were founded way back in the 50's, but al lGreek life was inactive during the 70's and 80's on CUNY campus, we came back mid 80's and have been going on since. I don't know if you have this problem. but do you have problem getting sisters to work? As I said last night during a 3-way call with the president and an alumnae, I feel that many of my sisters want to put 10% in but get back 100%, if you know what I mean. We need something to keep these girls motavated. There was one pledge class in recent memory that had 6 girls, besides for that htey have been small. The last three pledge classes were 1, 2, and 2. The last two (which I am a part of the last one) are four of the strongest sisters and the ones that are willing to work and help in everything. We have one or two others liek that, and the rest just don't seem to care. Rush is a diffcult time for us, but I have already told the pres. that I will miss an event...I have to I need the extra work (working the primaries) to help pay for dues and other expenses. She didn't have a problem with it, seeing how much wprk I am doing over the summer, but I have a feeling that at least one of my sisters are going to have a problem with it. Like I said, if you want details about any of our rush parties, PM me or just leave a post which one (or all three) and I will give you the info we have done already.

our rush is so weird. we're really the only sorority on campus that has a rush so u would think that it would be easy but it is so hard to get girls interested on anything going on on campus....everyone just goes to class and then goes home. so our problem is getting girls to stay around for 4 or 5 nights in a row. plus our school isnt in the nicest city (camden, nj) so a lot of parents are not too keen on letting their daughters stay there much after dark but since we are new....we're just starting to work everything out. we had our first rush last semester and initiated an alpha class w/7 members and we only lost i grad so we're still holding strong!!
