Girl I agree with you 100%!!! I used to work with a bitc.....woman just like her. I'm just wondering are her initials S.M.?? Girl, this chick I used to work with was even worse. She stayed on the phone all day. It was like two of us at the front desk...we had 14 phone lines between the two of us. The phones could be ringing off the hook, I'll be struggling to answer all the calls and do you know this FOOL will stay on her personal phone call!! Girl, we finally got rid of her because I dropped dime on her rude ass. Are your bosses aware of her atrocious behavior? sometimes they're not. My supervisor used to give me the same sob story...the woman just had a baby, she was recently married and struggling to make ends meet.....yadda yadda yadda. PLEASE! If they were really concerned with the well being of their children they would take the dam jobs more seriously!!! Sorry for venting girl, but you brought back some bad memories. Good luck! Keep us posted!

Angry DOES THIS MAKE SENSE ?

ok.....in our department we have a clerk. she can not type and does not know how to use the computer. she can not pronounce the word audiology--so they have her saying hearing department (how tacky!!). she is on the phone most of the day-which means i can not get through to consult with the audiologist nor can the patients get through to make appointments. now she wants a raise but she doesn't do anything. do you know the idiots where i work are looking into it!! about a month ago she told me that she doesn't understand why WE don't make the same amount.
i asked the coordinator why is she here and i was told well you know that she has 3 kids. what difference does that make? i am so HEATED because i get stuck with all her work that SHE can't/won't do.

Thumbs down

trust me they know......the audiologist and her share a room. he told her to make some phone calls and she told him to do it his self!!!!!! but she is the clerk. i tried in a nice way to explain to her that while no one is better than anyone else--you have to know where you are on the totem pole in the office. that went over her head. they can do her work if they want but i have made up my mind i am not doing any more data entry, that is her job. its not my fault that she can' type!! ugh!!!!

Two things I can't stand...lazy people & people trying to get over...if that woman does get a raise - you better be requesting one too!!! I wouldn't care if the woman had 6 kids and her house burnt down...if she wants to keep a job she better do the job!
There are plenty of unemployed people who would love to have her job, be happy with the pay, and do the job well! If I were the boss believe me the girl would know it!

Girlfriends, I feel your pain. I have not personally had your experience, but I have a perspective on this issue. I work daily with AFDC (welfare) recipients and I have heard every excuse in the book about "why I can't work", and how "my supervisor tried to tell me what to do". It's just amazing!

I am in this situation right now! (What a small world) I am working full time this summer to save money for school, and this chick that works with me is useless!! If she isn't on a 2 hour personal call, she is surfing the net for 3 hours. The only thing she does efficiently is go to lunch... she have NEVER been late for lunch.

hello sister friends, I have to add my story to this post and ask ya'll to pray for me because i am about to loose it here

I work at a department that is very small. I have been working part-time for one and a half years. I am constantly (well up until about a month ago, I was) tole how good of a job I do and have really been given lots of notices of my good work.

Now at the end of may the person who does my job full-time qiut, I apllied for the job because basically I needed the benefits, since I am to old for my mothers insurance anymore (wow, did I ever think this day would come...lol)

well like I said I applied for the job and everyone was like of course you'll get it, it is basically what I do know but I will do it 40 hours a week. Low and behold, after the interviewing process, I was told i baiscally have the job then all of a sudden my boss stopped really talking to me and I came to work today and there was this girl getting trsained for the job I thought i had. I had to finish her training for the day (yeah, I'm training the person for the job I applied for)
But this girl has NO experience and is only a freshman and is basically just the daughter of the director of personal, I am sooooo fummed and it is not really about the job, it is about the way that I wasn't told that I didn't get the job and the way I feel like I was played with (how are you not gonna mention to me that I will be training someone until they get here)

But I feel like I have given this job a year and a half, I work doubles, I work every weekend and I miss my son, I almost lost my fiance' over this job, so I gave my months notice today and I am gone. My fiance' is like just pray and it's not like we really need the money so I ghuess I will be spending the rest of the summer with my son.

I just had to get that OUT you know, thanks for letting me post it here.

Pray for me, becausealthough I know we don't need the money, you know I will miss it...lol. But I think the fact that I am getting my sanity and time with my family out of it is far more than anything else could give me

I am so sorry I did not realize that I had typed that much sorry I needed to vent I guess

Exclamation

guess what.....my co worker had the nerve to come and ask me to assist her in writing a letter requesting a raise for her!! the whole time she was talking to me, i kept wondering if i had FOOL on my forehead. i'm already doing to work and now SHE wants to get more money for it. i told her no--i mean really this is getting to be a bit much. i am so happy to be going on vacation--tomorrow!!
i think that it is really a shame that all you have to do is pretend to do work for the 90 probation period and that's it. since we are unionized, they can't get rid of her without a fight. we had a hard enough time getting that thief out of here!!

this is not at all what i envisioned when i was working toward my degree

You are not alone! I can't remember the last week my secretary worked a 40 hour week or five consecutive work days.
