Looking for pants for petites?
I have a clothing question: Where can I find petite hip hugger pants? I also want to make sure that the pants legs are long enough, sometimes petite pants/jeans are not long enough?
Does anyone know of a good store either online or at the mall? I was reading the new glamour magazine and for people who are my height (5'2) I should wear petite pants because they will fit better.

I've found that if I buy what is known as "capri's" for people of normal height, they fit me perfectly as pants.
There are a few good catalogs for petite people. I have the websites at home...I'll edit back later tonight.

I'm about 5'2" and petite length pants from Express fit me perfectly! They have a pretty large selection of hip hugger jeans.

Banana Republic has a great petite dept, if a bit pricey at times. The only downside is that petites can only be ordered off the internet, not bought in the stores.

I get most of my jeans/pants from New York & Company. I have enough trouble shopping for jeans when height isn't a factor, and their jeans fit me like a dream. They're a perfect length too!
I hate being short, only because it's so hard to buy pants that I don't have to hem!!

Try Victoria's Secret. I'm 5'0 even and I can find pants that actually fit there.

I'm 5'3 and I've always found that Liz Claiborne pants fit me really well as far as pant length.

I don't know about hip huggers, but Ralph Lauren's Petites fit really well. Also, INC (a brand by Federated Dept stores - Macy's, Rich's, Burdines...) has petite pants that fit nicely.

Ditto. As for hip-huggers, I've had the best luck with jeans from Express and Gap. And for regular pants, I usually end up getting them from Lerner or Limited. I'm barely 5' tall and with heels (as if I ever wear flats) they fit pretty well.

Limited's jeans are really good, too (when they are actually selling them...they stopped for awhile a couple of years ago and then started up again).
I'm also 5'2" but I have enough issues trying to find pants that fit my waist and butt that I will buy them even if they're too long. I always wear big chunky shoes so the length is even.

I also have a problem with pants being too long. I'm 5'4 but I have a short inseam. Regular pants are too long, but petite/short jeans are usually too short!
I've found that usually Old Navy low rise or ultra low rise in short fit quite well, and are so comfy! Try them!
