Smile Hasta La Vista....

It's a quarter to six in the morning here in Los Angeles and we're leaving town for a week or two to take a little (well-deserved!) R & R. We're headed to Tucson, and I'll be checking in when I can.

In the meantime, have a fabulous weekend and a wonderful Fourth of July everyone!

Hi girls!

I'm back, and boy am I glad! My vacation did not go exactly as how I had hoped, but we are (mostly) healthy and happy.

Please make sure to pray for everyone in Tucson right now, because there is a raging wildfire going on nearby. Its already consumed over 60,000 acres. All we could see from my parents' backyard was smoke in the day and the orange glow of flames at night. Ash was occassionally falling into their pool. The fire is about 2 miles away from their home--they started evacuating people this weekend. So please pray for the hundreds of people who have already lost their homes and the firefighters who are risking their lives to put this fire out.

On another note, my mother's brute of a terrier viciously blindsided my poor little Pumpkin. I ran to scoop Pumpkin out of the fray, tripped over the leg of a chair and broke my pinky toe. Unfortunately, there's nothing the doctors can do for that other than taping it up.

I guess it just goes to show you--sometimes there is no place like (your own) home!!!

Welcome Back, Maria!

I'm sorry that your trip did not go as planned and that the Tucson area is dealing with raging wildfire! But, we're glad you're back safe and sound!
