Hi my name is jean marie. i am a member of the delta delta chapter. i was wondering if anybody had any ideas for historian, rush and new member educator, any help would be apperciated. thanks

Well, I think it really depends on your chapter...for the historian, I think generally it's a good idea to keep a written record of the major stuff that happens (good and bad!) as well as a scrapbook. And, if there's not another position, a webpage, as well.

I'm not really sure about rush and new member educator. My advice for NME is to actually GO somewhere for the pledge retreat! That's my biggest complaint about my pledge period.

I am from the Psi chapter at UMass-Amherst! Hmmm...yeah, I totally agree for going somewhere for your pledge retreat...we went somewhere...not far, but hey it gave justice to the name "retreat." Hmmm...I dunno about NME, have you thought about getting ideas from other sororities...that's what mine did...you know it gives you an idea what is out there! Good luck with that...yeah, and SCRAPBOOK rocks!! Add superlatives and LOTS AND LOTS of pics...and add a letter from Nationals if you got one...any pics of awards or documentation of them. Invitations to things...ADD ADD ADD! Keep everything that is from your sisterhood. K, I am done...haha...GOOD LUCK!

Wow! Sounds like you have alot going on next semster...being a recent NM (Spring 2003) and the NME for next semster, the best advice that I can give is have many chancces for all the NM to meet active sisters and bond with them. It makes a huge diffrence, even more so if they aren't that close with their big that they have a sister to go to! With historain, it's all about the pictures! I dont know how they do it at your school but by us the PNMs see the photo album of last semster!
