I love older ladies!
Today I was talking about school, and my sorority with an older customer. She asked which one, so I said Phi Sig. I asked if she was in one, she said "Theta Phi Alpha" and she went to Pitt! She was so cute and said that she and a few of her sisters still get together every so often and do lunch.
I love old ladies!

LOL, Ali! When I read your post, the first thing I thought was, "Hmm, when she talks about old ladies does she mean my age??"

ohmygosh, old people are SO cute. i get so excited when i see "old people in love" holding hands or just old people being happy, and to me there is NOTHING worse than seeing a sad old person. i had a dream once that my grandma was starving and no one would let her eat...poor grandma! that was YEARS ago, but it still haunts me to this day.
yay old people.

Right there with you Killarney!
BTW...Just what DO you consider to be "old"??? Not to put you in the spot or anything!
Old is anyone born 30 years before me!

"Old" is anyone who could be my grandparent.
I love little old ladies! They're so bad-ass! My favorite little old lady story is from Reunion Weekend at my school a couple of years ago. Each class was having its picture taken with its banner, and they got to the class of 1926 and there was only one little old lady left-- three people in the entire class, and she was the only one not in a nursing home. So she tools up to her banner with her walker, and the photographer, who's a really cute thirtysomething guy, says, "Now, say 'Cheese!'" She looks straight at him, grins, and says, "SEX!"

Yeah!!! I loved the alums that were in our house in the 40's/50's. They told they absolute best stories! I liked the ones about being scandalous and sneaking guys in the house.

One of our chapter founders (she actually is GO #1 on the roll) came to visit once. I think some of the younger girls were kind of worried she would be stuffy but she was absolutely cool. In the words of one of my sisters "I knew she was the bomb when she said they had code words." (for partying and such )

Little ol' sorority ladies are the cutest!!!
Neither of my grandparents went to college, so when I see someone who is that old, but who is my sister- I just get a kickout of it!!!
Funny story- during our colony period, we held a spagetti dinner for habitat for humanity, and i was hostess with the mostest. this group of about 8 old ladies walks in, comes right up to me, and goes ' are you part of the tri delts' and when i replied, i am, they all break out into huge grins and exclaim' so are we!'
on the way to their seats, they passed a bunch of ZTA's who had come to our fundraisier, and they all started wispering. later one asked me 'how are the ZTAs here. in my day at my school, they had the reputation of being a bit 'loose'.
i tried soo hard not to laugh, cause i could only imagine the difference between my definition of loose and hers!!!
when i'm a little old sorority lady, i hope i am as cute as they were!!!

The "older" ladies in my alumnae chapter are a stitch! Last month's meeting was part business, part potluck. When we youngins were taking too long to discuss some (very important) business, one of them piped up and said "Oh, let's just have fun!" Imagine that - someone my grandma's age telling us to lighten up and get on with the social!

Being about the 2 nd most Mature on this Site, I for one take exception to this post!
We who are not just past 21 have made The Experience that you and many have be able to experience!
I for one may well be able to be your Great Grand Father
If I was, I would spank you over my lap (ooowe I am getting Kinkeeeeee)!
Anything I cant stand is the Damn KIDS who look down their noses at "US Older People", right Kill, JWOW, LTColGFB?????
This really got my dander up big time!!!!!!

I think sometimes the younger ones are not sure what to make of me as I sure don't act my age!!!!!!!!!!! tee hee!
Hey! Tom Earp, you "kinkee" man, what say we have an old greeks get-together one of these days before our get up and go has gotten up and went -- I bet your stomping ground has some fun places for older folks like us!!
