What are you doing this SUMMER?
Only 6 days until it's officially summer at the AOIIalum house. Is anyone doing anything fun, exciting or just plain summery this summer? Please share, because I know my sisters are lurking around out there
Roses,
Christin

Since I don't have any kids and am currently not in school 'summer' doesn't have any special significance I have some vacations where I'm going to be cleaning my house (going through boxes, working on decorating bathroom, etc), heading down to Nashville for the first profession of some friends with the Dominican Sisters, and possibly heading over to Michigan over the 4th of July. Nothing all that exciting

Summer...ahh, it's three weeks away for me(I'm a HS teacher) so needless to say I can't wait. I leave the day after finals for my students to go to Paris, France for a week. Then back here to go to summer school for my teaching credential. This class is about computer usage in class....joy. I love pointless classes! Thank Goodness that I am going to Paris, otherwise I might just have to cry!

Sarah--summer is summer, whether you have kids or not Besides, summer always means new makeup and that rocks!
Suzanne--I'm jealous. I've never been abroad! Please tell us everything when you come back home.
230 HOURS until the AOIIalum bunch are in WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!
Roses,
Christin

Definitely! I might also have a new opportunity available this summer The counter manager at the store in the town I'm living in is probably retiring soon and put me at the top of her replacement suggestion list! If this happens then I could WALK to work rather than driving 20 miles! I'm hoping that this happens (I worked at Younkers about 5 years ago and still know one of the managers and a good number of people that work there - and I would still be with Lancome) and that everything is similar or better (pay, commissions, etc - though the counter is definitely busier and more established than mine!).
Anyway, I digress and babble! Needless to say, this summer could have good stuff going down - and I'm still praying about long term things

Well, I have work at the CPA firm where I work M-F. And then on the weekends I'm usually doing something with Nu Beta via the phone or email. And of course I'm getting so excited attending my second Convention! I am also helping to round up some Nu Beta's to attend the rush down at our newest soon-to-be colony at Miss State in Starkville! Fun times! Other than that, I might go down to FL with some friends or up to NYC to visit a friend of mine who works there.

I will be going home and working my butt off all summer to help save up money for next year of college. I got hired to be an RA in the res halls, so I'll be back about 3 weeks early for training. Other than that, I'll be swimming a bunch and hanging out with friends and going back to Spokane for a week to visit sisters. I'm going to miss them all soooo much. I seriously don't know what I'm going to do without them, though 2 others live about 15 minutes away, so I'll be seeing them a lot because I can't stand to go without ritual for more than a month and I'll be disaffiliated for recruitment in the fall

Well...
As a stay at home mom, I was hoping for some quality time out of doors. Too bad this Global Warming Theory hasn't paid off. It's down right COLD in June!
So, in June, I will attend my second Convention. I'm excited because my mom and daughter are coming and I'll get to show Kyleigh off to everyone there.
In August we're going to San Diego for my husband's fraternity covention.
He'd like to go buy a tent and camp. Me - where's the cabins?????

Can I just say that I am so jealous of those of you being able to attend convention. I have been initiated for almost 10 years now(my 10 year anniversary is Nov. 7th 2003) and I have not yet been to a convention! This year I will be in France, the century one I was studying in France...it seems like every time we have one I am in France...what the heck! I will have to go eventually. I didn't even get to the one that was in Palm Springs, and I live about 100 miles away! ARGH!

Hi everyone,
My summer is going to be busy...I am working at a KOA campsite near home plus I am hoping to spend some time interning at the local TV station doing some behind the scenes meteorology stuff.....gotta love being a weather geek! I am going back early again this year though to be a Orientation Leader, which should fun. A lot of the girls in my chapter help out with moving in new students and helping with there transition into Cornell.
I can't believe that I am going to be a Junior this year!!! It's a strange feeling, but cool at the same time.....
Anyways, I hope everyone has a great summer, and feel free to AIM me if you wanna chat. My screen name is:

A couple of us wanted to go to convention this year but none of us could afford it. So, we are sitting around smelly Greeley Colorado working our butts off and moving into our new house and getting ready for recruitment so we can go to convention next year!

Hi all,
I haven't been around in a while because I have been busy moving! This summer we are transferring from Tennessee to Texas and I have been preparing the house for sale and trying to take care of a million details. This is not the original idea I had of hanging out with my hubby and kids swimming, playing golf, visiting relatives, watching movies, etc. Plus I am leaving a wonderful place, but I haven't really let myself deal with that one quite yet. Just writing all of this down makes me feel more like it is really going to happen.
I hope all of you are getting a chance to stop and smell the roses this summer!
