FYI: Law Camp For High School Students in Washington, DC

Sounds like a fabulous opportunity. This was forwarded to me and I do not see the attachment, but I am sure you can call and have one sent to you if interested.

NAPABA has been given the opportunity to assist the National Bar Association (NBA) in identifying candidates for the NBA Crump Law Camp. High school students entering the 9th, 10th & 11th grades in the fall are welcome to apply for a FREE or depending on family income, greatly reduced Law Camp to be held in Washington, DC, at Howard University School of Law during July 6-19, 2003. The Crump Law Camp will have an open enrollment policy but is geared towards enabling low-income students of color.

All students entering the 9th, 10th & 11th grades in the fall are welcome to apply via NAPABA for the Crump Law Camp. Please note that NAPABA will be accepting applications that are received by June 6, 2003. The Crump Law Camp has been greatly enjoyed by previous camp attendees and sure to be a success this year as well! This is a wonderful opportunity to get a taste for the rigors of law school as well as a wonderful opportunity to visit Washington, DC. The Crump Law Camp will have an academic and cultural/social component in that the morning part of the day will be in the classroom setting and the afternoon devoted to sightseeing local Washington, DC monuments and museums. All costs, including meal and transportation is included in the package. Attached fee schedule of family income will determine cost, if any. There is a checklist of all required items at the end of the attached
application. Questions about the Crump Law Camp should be directed to ED@napaba.org or (213) 955-8022
