gift question!

I want to give my boyfriend a video game as a gift. No special occassion, just to surprise him since I know they are his secret little vice.

I'd like to pick up a movie game for him since there are so many movies he's looking forward to seeing and I know he'd like the game, too.

But should I wait until he's seen the movie to get him the game? Or is it cool to get him the game ahead of time, especially if he's pscyhed for the movie?

I would say wait until he's seen the movie...

When there is a movie based on a book, I like to read the book before I see the movie. So, whatever comes first should be what he does first, and then you get the secondary merchandising items only if you like the original (like if the book sucks, I won't go to the movie usually).

hmm... that's an interesting point.

But what if it was one of those movies you were just DYING to see? Would getting the video game make the wait easier to bear?

Take it from a guy, buy him the video game regardless if he's seen the movie or not. Most of the time the game is only based on the movie and follows a different story line than that of the movie.

I know my guy was obsessed with the Bond video games when the movie came out earlier this year. If he doesn't have it and he likes Bond perhaps
