Stepping and Party Hopping

I have a question for everyone. Which chapters step and party hop? Do you all feel as though we should step and party hop at parties as a form of representing our organization. The reason I ask this is because I have noticed that several NPHC organizational members at different schools feel as though they are the only organizations that should do these things. Along with that they believe that they should only have probate shows as well. I know that we are not in the Divine 9, but we should be able to do what we please in order to represent our organization. We still need to do what we were founded for first and foremost which is leadership, friendship, and service. What are your viewpoints on this issue?

Another point that I wanted to put out is that these organizations seem to cheat certain chapters in step competitions.

I think any chapter that can step and party hop should go ahead and do it. Who cares what other people think? We need to keep persisting in LF and S and not pay attention to others.

I know that's right. Maybe we should have a debate on the issue with the NPHC because not only Alpha Phi Omega, but KK Psi, Tau Beta Sigma, and Phi Mu Alpha are cheated in stepshows as well. They seem to call our organizations not real or not greek. What is the definition of real and greek?

APO has been stepping since NPHC organizations have been stepping. The evidence is there; they can do their research and find it.

Thanks for the replies thus far. I figured that out already, but I want some evidence so that I can present it to some of these NPHC lames. Also, it is not everyone in the NPHC, but just a few along with a couple of GDIs at my institution, but GDIs don't matter much to me.

Yeah, you're gonna run into that sometimes with panhell and GDI members. The chapter at TSU steps, chants, and stroll all the time. Quite a few times, Panhell has asked us to step in shows. As far as the cheating, I'm not sure, but we've won quite a few shows.

My best advice would be to do whatever you feel will help represent and promote the fraternity in the best light as possible.
You can't worry about what non-members feel.

The reason that I said something about cheating is because pan-hell throws a show every year during Homecoming and Bullfest which is like a spring homecoming show. I noticed that many of the organizations that are in the show who are not of the Divine 9 are cheated out of winning. I refuse to put Alpha Phi Omega in that situation. I have even gone to party hop competitions and saw a chapter in charlotte who was cheated out of winning because they were the best of the rest of the organizations therel. Most of the stepshows at my school only have judges that are of the pan-hellenic council. We even have administrative members who seem to say that TBS, APO, KK PSI, etc. are not greek unless we are pan-hell.
