Brand Loyalty

After reading the disagreement about A & F clothes in the worst trends thread,I wondered, are you ladies brand loyal?I find that more and more,as I get older, that I am. Most of my wardrobe is Ralph Lauren,Eddie Bauer or J Jill. For shoes it is my Docs,Birkenstock,Naturalizer or Nike.I don't shop to be snotty,I simply think these companies make a better product.I would much rather pay a higher price for a nice wool or linen skirt from Ralph Lauren that has a classic fit and style than something that is trendy that costs alot anyway and will be out of style in 3 months.I also find that the quality and feel of the fabric has alot to do with my purchasing decisions.Don't get me wrong though,I can and do find cute stuff from Target that I wear too. As for my shoes,I am on my feet all day so I have to wear good quality shoes.Birenstocks are the most fabulous shoes ever made and are worth every penny that you pay for them.

So true!

I hear ya, midwesterngirl! I have a body that's not exactly proportional: smaller on top, bigger on the bottom. Plus, I'm petite!

That said, I'm very picky when it comes to buying pants. I have no problems with tops, because fit isn't usually a problem. I find that I have to pay a little bit more for pants that are flattering on my body type. The best places for me to buy pants have been J.Crew and Banana Republic. And you know what? My boyfriend even agrees, as he likes pants from BR and Calvin Klein.

Shopping is HARD

I agree, as time goes by, I find that my closet is full of Bebe, Abercrombie (logo shirts), BR, and lots of GAP. I have found that Bebe has the best fitting jeans I have ever tried. I too have curves (a nice way of stating big hips) But, the way tha tthese pants fit is great. I no longer have to worry about one part of the jean hanging off of my body. Although expensive, I have found that I would pay more for something that I am going to wear a lot and for a while.

Loyal to...

Coach handbags, Birkenstock sandals (even though they're butt ugly ), Dove Soap, Tide laundry detergent, Bounce fabric softener sheets, M.A.C. cosmetics, and Apple computers.

(*hopes that representatives from all of those companies will happen across this post and send me free stuff*)

I'm not terribly loyal to fashion designers, because until recently I wasn't able to wear 'brand name' clothing because none of it fit me.

Thumbs up

I'm an Old Navy freak. They're cheap and cute. I'm all about it!

I like Old Navy too but I can't always get a good consistent fit from them.Sometimes there stuff runs small and sometimes big. I am an all cotton gal,and it doesn't get much better then them for comfy t shirts and pajama pants though.
Sistermadly,I adore my Birkenstocks. As for being ugly,I have a pair of slip on Birk clogs that I get more compliments on than any other pair of shoes. By the way,I am all about my DELL computer.
