I just wanted to share that I will officially be moving in Indianapolis to attend IUPUI for graduate school this fall!

That is great news. Is that the school that you went to visit when you made your trip to Indy a few months ago?

Yes. (I also visited IU at the time.)

Congratulations!

I used to live in Indy and it is a great city. It has all the amenities of a big city but still has that small time feel. Downtown is great and the Fashion Mall also rocks! Parisian, William Sonoma and Pottery Barn were some of my favorite places to visit.

Do you know where you are going to live?

Not yet! I want to live with other students near campus, which is downtown. Unfortunately I'll have to apartment-hunt remotely, because I won't have another chance to visit. Luckily my department assists with that.

I just know I won't live near the hotel I stayed at when I visited ... this scary EconoLodge in the SW part of town. I was told by the hotel van driver not to go out at night and not to eat at the waffle place across the street because people got shot there!

There is an apartment complex almost across the street from the campus - if you are interested I can look up the name. I think it may be RiverWalk - or something similar - a friend of mine lived there when he was a grad student at IUPUI.

It was near campus, the building was safe and secure, and they were cute. If you have any questions or anything - I would be more than happy to help.

After graduation I am moving to Raleigh - so I totally understand the fun of looking for a place to live remotely.
