Unless you live here. Our son got home from Oklahoma and proceeded to get snowed in and stranded at home for four days. Finally got out to visit friends at CU and CSU, but spent most of his time with boring old parents.

Whats so wrong with that....

I grew up there and was wishing the whole time that my mom and dad were snowed in that I could be there hanging out with them

But I guess I see what you mean...

Schmeer,

Thanks. My answer was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. We're not really that boring, and I think he enjoyed being around. He finally did get up to Boulder on the Friday night and got to drive his friend to wherever she had to be to leave for Mexico Saturday AM.

It's just strange that the Colorado "Storm of the Century" happened on his Spring Break -- while the Colorado schools got snow days and went on break the next week.

LOL, of course I was in Colorado during the blizzard as well, and I don't even ski. It was kind of fun, except for the day we were pretty much stranded in Boulder in a hotel with a non-working television and the only thing open in town was Pita Hut (which was actually very good).

No matter what the weather is, Colorado is absolutely stunning!

Hey now, I was trapped in the blizzard. The highlight of the trip was getting the car STUCK in the middle of an unpaved street in Englewood. It was lovely, but there are some REALLY friendly people in CO, including the guy who pulled us out with his pickup truck.

If all goes well, I'll be a resident of Colorado within the next few months. Then, you won't be able to get rid of me, LOL!

Sounds like a potential GC Mile High gathering in the future. I'll look forward to it!

Question

What is wrong with Kansas for Spring Break!?

Hell, go to Co. in the Mountains and all you see is SNOW

Never saw snow in: Aspen, loveland, Crested Butt, Steamboat, Breck, Copper, Vail, Sunlight, or ABasin, Beaver Creek. What is the big deal about Co. in spring break?

Go someplace like Kansas and get educated!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn College Kids, right DA?

Well, I'm too old to be a college kid, but I DID spend a night in Lawrence Kansas during spring break! It's really a cute little town!

Have televised Colorado Football games from both Lawrence and Manhattan.

Great college towns.

Tough to ski there, though.
