PIKES and TIM MCGRAW CONCERT
So I was at the Tim McGraw concert this week (Wednesday at Freedom Hall in Louisville) and there were some PIKES there and since Tim McGraw is an alum he gave them a shoutout and said how those were his boys. He was like "Yeah I see you, your with the hot chicks and your letters, pretty cool guys" or something (I had some beers and I asked my friend, that is what she discerned!) So I thought that was cool and I would share.

Being a Pike is just one more reason to love Tim McGraw.

Dating a Pike is part of the fun of being Greek? Nice.
When Brother McGraw was at our International Convention last year, it was great to see 600 Pikes with "man crushes" on Tim. I swear, we were just like 13 year old girls and NSync. Classic.

You know, when I read this the first time, I thought this said "PIXIES AND TIM MCGRAW CONCERT." I don't care much for country, but I really like the Pixies...
Where did TIm McGraw go to college?

Hahaha my best friend Chris from school is a Pike at Mizzou and he was at that Convention and he was DEFINATELY one of those guys with a "man-crush", it was all he talked about for weeks.

Actually, he's going through a tough time right now.
His dad, Tug McGraw (a former major league relief pitcher) has brain cancer; he underwent an operation, I'm not sure how he is.
One of Tug's big calling cards was that he would slap his knee after striking someone out; at one of Tim's recent concerts, he did the same at some point in the show, kind of a shout out to his dad.
Hopefully all goes well for the McGraw family.

Tug was specially initiated into Pi Kappa Alpha a year or so ago. So that's tough to hear. Thanks for posting that though.

My sister is traveling three hours to see Tim McGraw in Albany tonight. Tomorrow she is going to Boston. Wednesday back home to NYC to go to the Meadowlands in New Jersey. Friday night she's off to Washington, D.C. She is Tim McGraw's biggest fan.
Tug McGraw, Tim's father played for the NY Mets in 1969 and the Phillies in 1980 when they won the World Series. He coined the phrase "You gotta believe!" that the Mets still use today.

I have pics of him from about 10 feet!!! He came and went within 15 minutes though, so we didn't get to interact with him at all. That sucked.
