What Is Your "Means of Survival"/ Job...

...and what do you envision as your ideal working situation?

I work as a Staff Assistant to the Director of Calhoun County Parenting & Adult Education.

As an ideal job, I see myself as a Full Professor of Early Childhood Education for a vocational (2-year school) college.

How about you guys?

I see myself retired doing volunteer stuff for the community. I spend most if my evenings attending meetings for community service and see no reason why I can't want to do it full time.

My other goal is to be Secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services or maybe Deputy Secretary. I'm already a deputy director.

I currently work as a Stay-in-School clerk for the US Secret Service. I have not yet decided on what career path I want.

You ani't nevah lied!! I'm trying to figure out how to make this economy improve so my investments can go up so I can, retire before I am too old to care. Another ideal job along with this is to work in an administrative capacity at my church to assist with planning, human resources and ministry operations.

Currently I am a HR consultant and trainer

Smile Getting there

My survival job was as an employment counselor for ex-offenders. I was also an employment counselor in a welfare-to-work program. I never sought these jobs, I just somehow 'ended up' there.

Anyway, my goal was first to be a school teacher, then a college professor at a research institution (I didn't want to research about teaching without experiencing it to some degree first).

I completed the first goal & I'm in the process of acheiving the second (look at GOD!!) . I'm a doctoral student now and an adjuct professor.

Ultimately, I want to do things to improve the state that I live in. I would like to start in the church that my father pastors by having a Youth Development Center that helps our children academically. Presently, I teach math to African American males and females in the urban community. Our youth are struggling, thus I would like my church to be a huge resource to help those that are having difficulties.

I would also like to spread the Word of Christ through music. One thing Minnesota lacks...A GOSPEL RADIO STATION! It would be absolutely grand if I, or someone in my family, could make that happen!

Thread Hijack****

delph, I lived in MN for a minute back in the late 80s; specifically New Hope & Minnetonka. What was the name of that 1 black radio station that you could hardly hear if you crossed the river into St. Paul? THey were always doing fundraisers to buy new transformers/increase the wattage while I was there.
