Trying to find good lyrics...
So for Acting on Tuesday, we're supposed to bring in lyrics from a song which we'll have to act out during class (not sing them basically). I'm having trouble finding something good- nothing overly dramatic, but nothing flighty either.
So I leave it up to you, the good people of GreekChat land... any suggestions for me?

Oh we did this in high school! Here are some of the ideas that I can remember:
-Daylight Come and Me Wanna Go Home (you know: Day-o me say day-o, Daylight come and me wanna go home! It's from Beetlejuice)
-We go together (from Grease)
-I don't know if you are in groups or not, but we were and we did "Ironic" by Alanis Morisette. There were four of us and each of us sang a part of the song that corresponded with the video (if you have seen the video, this will make a lot more sense to you). We acted out everything and lip syncd to the song. It was a lot of fun!
If I think of anything else, I will post!

I wonder if they there are any artists who put out a storyline line their CDs. For instance, from the good old days there were Albums like
Eagles "Desperado", The Who "Tommy", Moody Blues, "Days of Future Past" just to name few.(Could be off on that last title.)
All of these had segments that could EASILY be adapted to what you need. Surely there are some more current cuts that would lend themselves to what you need in a hurry.

ooh....I had to do that...! It's a very fun assignment
I would strongly suggest doing a country song, mainly because they tell stories. (I did Shania Twain)
Also, try a song from a musical....or from a Disney movie...(my friend did "Arabian Nights" from "Aladdin")

I've been listening to some Styx lately and I think their lyrics are pretty dramatic. Cyclorama (their newest) even have a song with Jack Black! Its a lot of fun.

I assume by "Tuesday" you meant today, but if it's not too late...
A lot of Tori Amos songs would be grrrrrrrrreat for this assignment. I'm thinking "Cornflake Girl" and "Happy Phantom"

I've had Toni Basil's "MICKEY" in my head for the past few days. Probably because "BRING IT ON" was on USA.
