Loss of a 50+ Member

Hey yall,

Just wanted to let you know that we have lost an amazing AOII. Kitty Ables died last week in Austin, Texas. She was a member of the Pi Kappa Chapter (UT Austin), and spent her life making AOII proud to claim her. She was a member for over 50 years.

Kitty's husband, Bob, has said what a big help AOII sisters have been to the family, and wants all AOIIs to know that on Friday, March 21st, the flag on the mall at UT will be flown at half-mast in memory of Kitty. Bob thinks it is very appropriate to have the flag at half-mast for Kitty on the first full day of spring because of her peppy, exuberant personality and her love of bright colors. Kitty was employed by UT for 30 years.

Just thought I would pass it along. Please pray for our Austin Alumnae, who are extremely close and have lost not only a sister but one of their best friends, and for Kitty's family in this difficult time.

That seems like a very appropriate thing to do and very sweet. I'm glad to hear that our sisters are doing anything that they can do for her family.
