Wink The best thing your chapter has done

Hey everyone! I am here at with the Mu Nu chapter. I wanted to ask everyone what the best thing their chapter had to do. I am suppost to do this as a web project and email another chapter. I thought though would it not be better to see what a lot of chapters have done. So post something...I would love to hear about it.
LFS,
Heather

Mu Alpha Chapter.....well, it's hard to decide on a BEST thing, so I'll pick one in each field of service....

Fraternity......We've had pledging every semester since we were chartered in 1956 (Except for 1994), so we are consistently providing the fraternity with new members.

Campus.....Mu Alpha runs a van shuttle service for students to safely get home to their off campus dwellings at night.

Nation....Blood Drives!

Community....my favorite was volunteering at an elderly home and hospice.

Every year, my chapter participated in "Bowl for Kids Sake" for Big Brothers and Big Sisters. It was a lot of fun. We also visited a hospital wearing Halloween costumes. The patients really enjoyed our visit, and we gave many of them homemade cards.

But my absolute favorite project was a Valentine party for local Big Bro/Big Sis volunteers and their littles. We had tables set up with different activities. We had coloring sheets, different games with silly prizes, magnets to decorate, etc. The most popular activity was cookie decorating! One of our members made dozens and dozens of HUGE heart-shaped cookies, and we had lots of different frostings and candies. Messy but really fun!

True true.....

Well, since clearly I was called out by a neo (lol) I will also state that Mu Alpha Chapter was the ORIGINAL Big Brother Chapter of the current Petitioning Group at Howard University. Mu Alpha Conducted the first Petitioning Ceremony, researched and wrote a comprehensive history of Zeta Phi, began the process of locating Zeta Phi Alumni (which resulted in the group securing their first two advisors), and recruited the initial group of Petitioners also known as "Line A."

Since I was the original sponsor, I'll say thanks to all of the Brothers of Mu Alpha who put up with a lot of shyt from ALL SIDES. We represented well.

For all those who didn't know....NOW YA KNOW!
