Old School Pledge Clubs
I was just sitting her bored at working thinking about the old school pledge clubs. How would you feel if the old pledge clubs from the early days of Greek life such as the Sphinxmen's Club, the Ivy Pledge Club, the Scroller Club or the Pyramid club were to come back in existence? Do you think these organizations are good stepping stones into the fraternities and sororities and would also weed out bad members? Just a thought I had, that's all. Just wanted to see what others would think!

I think that it would DEFINITELY separate the the women from the girls! Unfortunately, some of US power trip and it could cause some problems we don't want to deal with.

I personally think it would be a good idea. Just like someone said up above it would most definite separate the men/women from the boys/girls not to mention it would assure us that only the elite and the realist will become members of our illustrious organizations!

It would bring back something that we have been missing for a minute -- respect for the Orgs and would actually minimize law suits. If you bring back Pledge Clubs and put them through a strong discipline regiment(similar to the Army) and made it above ground...there would be less to sue over because it would in essence be a standard! As one judge ruled in a hazing incident "At some point this young man knew what he was doing was against the law and he still participated" which makes him as guilty as anyone else!

yes and no...guilty of not asserting his rights...but sometimes people think that if they do so...they will not be able to become a member...when in fact...that is entirely false...when those in positions of leadership are doing their jobs properly and adhering to the founding principles of their respective organizations...

Preacher,
How do you figure that? Did you read what he said? Why would you ask The Bruh if he is a hazer? How do you define hazing?
