SGRho wins 1st place!

Greetings,
Just stopped by to let you know that the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho, Alpha Beta Chapter at Tennessee State University won 1st place in the Panhellenic Step show (at TSU) this past Saturday. These ladies, and the chapter has come a very long way. With my mother being a member of the sorority, I hear to let you know that I was very proud to see them win first 1st place and beat the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta (which is practically unheard of at Tenn State). Just letting you know, and congrats to Alpha Beta.

The Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho, composed of a variety of members in the South Florida area, also won 1st place at University of Miami's step show on Friday..

And still found time to volunteer in the community, the next day!!

just to chime in, i recieved an e-mail from a soror at TSU and i really believe in my blue and gold heart that those ladies are raising the standard and repRHOsenting well-- just makes me smile all over! i say we keep an eye on ALPHA BETA because they are DOING THE DARN THING!

Kudos to both chapters!

I really like that fact they got up the next day and did their community service! That's the way a Sigma Gamma Rho Represents the "Greater Service, Greater Progress."

if sorors won a step show at the university of miami, i have to tip my hat to those ladies 22 times because i am from miami(i know y'all are tired of me repping for "the bottom", but M-I-A is in my blood!) and folks from that part of the world are NOT sympathetic unless a hurricane strikes-- it's like showtime at the apollo: either you got the goods or you don't! so i know they were off the CHAIN!!!!!!! if there is a soror from down there, pleae send me a PM quickly 'cause i'ma need a running buddy while i am there for spring break!

The NPHC at the University of Pittsburgh held a "Step Correct" qualifier last November and I must say, as someone who helped put together this step show (with eight teams!), I was most impressed by the SGR's (Temple) attitude before, during, and after the show.

In addition, they did a wonderful job and took 1st place.
