Serious Issue Threads

People, if you can't talk about serious issues (i.e. race, misogny,war, etc.) in an intelligent manner without blatantly sterotyping, calling names, or putting a after everything you say, etc., then don't post.

I don't want to squash discussion, but every thread about a topic that isn't sex or tv shouldn't turn in to a battle ground.

Most of us are mature adults, but if you are one of the people who aren't, then for the sake of the rest of us, please fake it until you are.

I understand what you are saying and I respect it. But we must account for those that can't help but post in an offensive manner. There are always going to be people like that, sadly, that's life.

I'm not saying it's right, but whenever a serious issue comes up (i.e. race, ethnicity, sexual preference, religion) there is always going to be that person that attacks someone else.

There is always and will always be some heated discussion when it comes to many topics as you should well know!

That is what makes us different. It does not mean because of neccessaraly color or race or religion.

I am sure not all Black people or all white people or any other skin pigmentation means that all are alike!

There have been and will be heated discussions among people on collecting Badges/Ritual knowledge.

Last that I heard, that is what this whole site is about.

YES it can somtimes get out of hand and does. But, each moderator on site has a right to question someone before it is deleted. That is why there is a MOD Corner. This is used to discuss problems and then take action.

After reading some of the posts that were eventually deleted or moved to the mods' forum, I don't think anyone has the *RIGHT* to tell ZetaAce to calm down.

I think she's done a wonderful job so far with squashing the troublesome posts [notice how I said post...and not people!], and I think she's been really calm about it--that's why she's the CC mod and I'm not.

Just my opinion...that's all.

Yes, for the love the of mother earth we are greatful to have bucutie, zetace, and iowahawkeye as CC mods. I can only imagine if we had someone else different. ...On the other hand having more sassy mods in CC may just make things even more interesting.

Uh, I'm not riled up.

I don't have a problem with 'heated' discussion, I think it's healthy. What I have a problem with is blatantly sterotyping, calling names, etc. etc. like I said before. In short, people who lash out and 'flame' others because they disagree with their point of view. That's childish in my opinion.
