Sucky Companies!
Okay - I am having a really bad month with SUCKY companies, so I am bringing it out here in the hopes that you guys don't get suckered either....
1) JUNO - Or should it be "JUdon'tknowyou'regonnagetscrewed" --I signed up to Road Runner back in November -- mainly because JUNO sucked and was slow and kicked me off every 5 secs -- anyway - I am being charged for Jan & Feb 2003 -- even though I cancelled in November!! Now I am being told that because I accepted a free month, that gave them the right to bill me. Well let's discuss this "acceptance" thing:
Maurice at Juno: Well a lot of new High Speed Online users have difficulty the first few weeks, so I will give you Dec. free so you can still check your email -- then after December, your account will be closed.
Me: Okay, thanks
Now, not one time did the man EVER say - you have to call back - otherwise I would have just said "no" and made sure I was cancelled. But I guess that when you are an HONEST person that you don't expect people to LIE or MISLEAD you!!!
So - I just called back to get it taken off, and Ms. RUDE-IS-MY-NAME tells me that she can give me one month CREDIT for Juno services. I said "CHECK MY RECORDS - I haven't logged on since December" and she said "well I can't help that" -- UGH!! So I told her I would dispute it with my credit card people - she said "FINE, you are not being offered ANY credit then" -- (insert UGLY word here that rhymes with ditch, pitch, and witch)
Anyway, I was also told that I could name their VP David Baade in my complaint to the BBB (which by the way has 251 pending complaints on billing issues alone!) but that "Tanya" would not give me her last name because of "safety concerns" - hell, those people have my name, ss#, cc#, home info, etc. and she is worried about giving me her last name?! Yeah, whatever!! So I am now filing it with the BBB and if I have to call my brother up to file a freaking suit over $19.90 in small claims court, so be it. I would pay MORE to make them give me a refund!
2) ALLTEL - or should it be "ALLTAKE" -- they are just SUCKY too. I had them on auto withdrawal from my checking account, well we were going to close the acct, so I called to cancel and have it to where I would just mail my check like everybody else. Great - they gave me the address to mail it to and said they would take it off my acct. Well guess what - another withdrawal from them last month!! The only reason we didn't close that acct was that we have to give it 60 days for unpaid checks to clear. So when I called to complain, I was given the run around. I asked for a supervisor, and waited 3 days before calling back. Again, I was given the run around, and when I asked to speak to a super again, "Troy" (who thought he was God or something) says to me "What do you want to say to them?" I said "NONEYA" and he said "well I am managing your acct so I can decide whether or not to tell them" - I said "YOU BETTER HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME" - of course no one has (2 weeks in counting).... So I called to pretend like I was looking for a cell phone carrier and was told "Oh yes, we have GREAT customer service - if a super isn't available at the time you call, you will get a call back in 24 hours" -- well, apparantly time moves REAL freaking slow for them. Would hate if I lived in that city because cooking some minute rice would take too long!!
Anyway - there is my bitch-fest for the day...or should I say my "Tanya-Fest" as that is my new synonym for bitch.
