March Madness Fever
Is anyone else ready for the showdown?
Personally, I don't want Louisville to win but they're looking pretty strong in this region.
My fave top teams:
Marquette
I feel really good about them this year. However, I felt good about them last year and they lost.
Indiana University
I go to this school so I have to show spirit. GO HOOSIERS!!!
Texas Tech(hey, I'm a TEXAN)
Hmm, it's a loyalty thing.
U of K
These guys are looking great. . .but you never know how long that is going to last.
Anyone else got some insight? It's time to start gearing up for this.

I would like U of L to go to the final four and then U of K can beat the crap out of them...
I would also like to see a small school like Gonzaga- I love that team!
Marquette- I mean White Chocolate, honey, you are so close to me by location but so far away- they aren't very good.
Other than those three above, I am sure that Arizona will make it. Their offense is on fire!

I love Arizona. I've been a fan since I was about 12 years old, and I'm really excited about them this year.

i can't help it
i always root for the underdogs in March Madness
as for Gonzaga, like U of L, they deserve to win but I don't like U of L. Gonzaga was on my mind but I opted for Marquette at the last minute.
And so far away, I drive past U of L every other day. . .Indiana isn't that far.

It's hard to say.. the Big 12 is not up to what it was last year in my opinion. Ok State is kind of in a slump after losing to Baylor and Cinncinati. Oklahoma is playing very well but has been inconsistant (losing on the road to Baylor and OK State). Kansas has slipped a lot. I'd say Texas is playing the best in the conference at this point.
Big 12 tournement is coming up though. Will be interesting to see how that comes out. My prediction (and it is painful for me to make this prediction) is Texas vs Kansas in a close game at the end with Texas edging Kansas. I hope I'm wrong though.

I'm gonna have to go with KU and OU out of the Big XII. It absolutely kills me to root for Texas and i'm not a big fan of the Red Raiders much either.
That being said, A&M's actually considered a "bubble team" for the first time since i've been in school here. Granted it would take a tremendous turn of events and would require a couple of monumental upsets (@ Tech and @KU, and then a home game with OU) which have all the probability of happening as Sadaam passing a polygraph test, but hey, you can't blame me for hoping.

It's great to have several Big XII teams up in the polls. I am waiting to see how we do against other conferences. Texas has been up and down, but seem to be playing well right now, as is KU and several others. Should be fun!!
Hey thanks, Kitso - I know how hard that must be for you to try and root for my Longhorns.

The postings have Marquette at 11.
I really don't understand how they do the ratings sometimes. Half of the teams all have the same 17-4 game.
Do they just go by whose uniforms look better?
Who has the cutest players?
Sounds like something I would do.
I'm just glad for Maryland's win though.
As for Arizona. . .no comment.
All I can say is 'Whoo-Hoo, Texas!!!!'
It's hard being from a state where everything they do is great, better, faster, bigger, etc. Win or lose. Up or down. So, you're forced to have to cheer for anyone who has something to do with Texas. I guess that's what you call state pride.

BASKETBALL BABY!!!!!
DUKE BLUE DEVILS!!!
Okay, I know! They haven't been doing well in the ACC. But I don't EVER - EVER - EVER root against Coach K. My mom raised me right! (Somehow, they pull it out!) Plus, I almost am glad they are showing some faults going into March Madness! Makes the teams not worry as much...
OH...and ANYONE playing University of Kentucky! (I still love the game when Laettner made that last second basket for the win in '92! )

I'll chime about Women's Basketball.
Go LSU. The SEC has always been a tough conference. Tenn has always gone undefeated But this season you guys are giving Pat a run for her money. I can't wait for Sunday. Now all ESPN has to do is televise it and I'll be a happy camper.
My other fav team.....La Tech. I was worried when you guys got a new head coach. I was worried for nothing as you all had gone undefeated once again in the WAC. Now if don't choke in the first round of the NCAA tourney like last year, all will be right in the world
GEAUX TIGERS! GO LADY TECHSTERS!
