One of my sisters, my roomate at the house actually, was supposed to leave for overseas today, but it is going to be any day now. They won't tell her exactly where she is going but we wish her the best of luck and will miss her very much!! This is twice as hard for me because my boyfriend is overseas right now too . And for all those who have loved ones overseas, stay strong.
Love in AOT,
Steph

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of greeks that are going to or have been shipped out. I know a few personal friends that belong to fraternities and sororities have already left for certain areas of the world. I guess this is because from my experience, many greeks that I know belong to some kind of ROTC or reserve program.
Off topic note - maybe that's why a lot of greeks don't work (from another thread). Some belong to these programs that help pay for school and school related bills?
Anyway, I had a debate with one of my friends that is leaving on Monday. He felt that he shouldn't have to leave or go fight a war if that is what we decide to do as a country. I mean I feel for him and I'm scared that something is going to happen to him, but he knew what he signed up for, he knew what was/is asked of him. It's not like he was going to sign up and get free money. He signed up to help protect our country and now he has been called on and he doesn't think it's "fair." That's bullshit, he knew exactly what he was signing up for.

We just being informed that my own lil bro also was "called for action".
I have a really mixed up feeling right now. I'm not sure whether I have to be proud, mad, sad, sorry, angry or happy ... but this is really emotional moment right now.
We're going to have a "birthday party" for him tomorrow night, and he will be leaving the house (and perhaps the country) in couple days.
I am mad. I am proud. I am disappointed. I am happy. Why did they choose my lil?
Please pray for these people, the children of the country.
God bless all people in the action. May they get back safely and reunite with the ones that care.

One of my sisters and her husband were called up for duty. Right now, they are at Fort Dix, NJ. But, any day now, they could be shipped out to Germany or elsewhere.
