can i just tell you my chapter is doing such an excellent job. our cob chair had everything prepaired two weeks before class started and our pres announced that the other chapters cobing havent had anything done! i have a lot of confidence in our chapter to do great. we are not like a chapter that everyone thinks is bad but actually a good chapter with a good reputation, but not a lot of girls. we even won greek week last year. this is do to girls graduating and transfering to community. our info booth in front of the student union attracted a lot of potentials and can i say there are some cute girls that are interested. i really hope we get quality girls and sisters who really love sigma kappa. ill post more about what the cob events are

sorry it took so long for me to post.....with school and everything i didnt have time. alright today is our first day of informal recruiment. we are going to have this event at a coffee shop right by school. we decided to wear our white bid day tshirt with rhinstones that says "sigma kappa & Co." with dark blue jeans and clean white shoes. This event is kind of layed back and comfortableso the pmn wont get to overwhelemed. I am so excited because almost thirty girls want to know what we are all about. it starts at 6 and ill post right when i get home

spread some of that sigma kappa spirit to the u of dayton chapter. they need some help. they only got 3 girls during formal rush. their quota is 20. they haven't been very aggressive with cob either. need to wish them a bit of luck.

Hey ladies!!
Well Your Beta Eta sister are rocking informal rush this semester! My amazing pledge sister Chicago (aka Lauren) is VPR and did some amazing PR for our first event. We usually get around 10 girls on the first day ... Chicago planed for 15 .... WE GOT 29!!!!

The chapter is PSYCHED and we still have 3 days left including pref night. We only need 13 girls to be at cap :wink wink:
I hope you ladies are all doing as well and are excited as we are.

can i just tell you i am so happy to be a sigma kappa. well the first event was great. so the coffee beas was closed just for us and pnms. i really had good conversatons with 10 girls and was excited they came. we had free hot cocoa and cookies for everyone. as with all groups there were wierd ones. i am the kind of person that can hold a conversation with anyone, but these two girls in the back talked about wierd stuff. i just nodded my head and could wait until one of my sisters interrupted me. overall i really like the girls who came to the event.

the next event was saturday and the theme was a luau, but the only thing is i went to az for a recruiment workshop. when i got back they told me they really like 13 girls out of the bunch. i had a really awesome time in tuscon at the zeta omicron sigma kappa house. those girls are so much fun. i didnt want to leave, but i have to post more about it later cuz this girl needs to do her school work

alright yeasterday was the last event. This was kind of formal ,because everyone was dresssed nice. Guys that were really close with our chapter helped out by serving us and being our waiters. One of our girls mom prepared all the food, but she left it in her trunk and it splattered all over her trunk! Try getting spaghetti sauce out of your car on a rainy day. The theme was "hearts on ice", because as you know the heart is one of our symbols and it it the winter time. We all stood in two lines and as they were coming in we sang. It was so cute seeing all the girls who just in a couple of days were going to experince was sigma kappa really is. Hopefully the girls we want will accept a bid from us and become a new member.

Tonight and friday morning we will be calling the girls who we are going to give bids to. since friday is Valentines day all the girls who do not have boyfriends will go out and have dinner and then go to the fraternity parties, but the next day is the other half of the bid day parties and the girls who have boyfriends can come and hang out with us. since it was a three day weekend a lot of girls are going out of town so we cant see them until next week. This spring we worked our butts off to get a good turn out and it all worked out in the end. Our alums are so proud if us, because they are realy surprised so many girls want to join. It is the most girls we had during an informal recruiment. as i said before i love being a sigma kappa!!!! ill tell you how many girls we got tommorrow or maybe the next day

So can you guess what this post is about?????? Yup we finally gave our bids out to wonderful girls. The only thing is that two other sororities were having informal rush and panhellenic said that we could give our bids out at the stroke of midnight on friday. so guess what they did? they dirtied rush and gave 2 bids to our potentials on wednesday. One said shell wait for our bid and another is hesitant about which group to choose. i am just so mad cuz we always follow the rules and i hate those girls that dont

I just assume they are jealous of our successful rush and are really really desperate

14 girls are now pledges(new members) of theta eta chapter of SIGMA KAPPA!!!!!!!

this is the most our school has seen for spring recruitment. we are now at house capacity. i dont know if you guys do heart sisters but i was chosen one. i am going to have lunch with her sometime this week. i have chosen not to become a big cuz i have no $ and my lil said she still wants to be an only child. she wants me all to herself. well i am happy to see when you work hard you get what you deserve!

I'm glad all your hard work paid off!!

That's too bad about the other sororities "cheating". It's frustrating when people don't follow the rules. But it looks like you still came out on top!

I just wanted to let you guys know that Alpha Gamma finished Structured Informal on Friday and we now have 7 wonderful new members to add! I am very excited because Recruitment is going really well all around this year. We also are aiming for Quota and Total by this time next year, and with the small amount of seniors that will be graduating, I know we can do it!! Congratulations to all the new members, and to all the chapters who are making informal a huge success!

i'm pretty sure the theta psi chapter got 12 or 13 for our informal recruitment. i'm in london right now so i've heard differing numbers from my sisters back at penn state

With 15 of the 20 sororities at Penn State participating in informal rush, we still got 13 girls of the 17 bids we gave out
