I was born and raised in Michigan, so I've seen snow before. But I got to tell you, even I am amazed that it's snowing here in Dallas

Crimson, I can send you some in a little plastic baggie

I'm really surprised it's been snowing here all day since at least 10 am. There isn't enough on the ground to make a snow angel or a snowman, but oh well

BOO HISS!!! I need enough to fall @ 4 AM so the snow plows could not come remove it in time for the high schoolers and their teachers to travel safely. All I really need is 1 inch here.

Oh, that's sad! One inch isn't realy even a snowstorm!

I've lived in Ohio, Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan and now Colorado.

I'll tell you what, though, in Denver we've had almost no snow at all the past couple of years, and the mountains haven't gotten as much as usual either. We need some badly, or water use restrictions will be worse next year than this one.

Less than three inches here is a 'dusting'. But like DeltAlum itr has been 'warm' here over the past few years (today it was -16 which is normal) The Rideau Canal whcih is the logest skating rink in the world (7.8km) normally opens before christmas, this year it didn't open till just after and last year it did't open till the end of february and was only open for like 2 weeks. The nearly had to cancel Winterlude (a festival celebrating winter).

I think we can assume our friend from up North means -16C.
Edited to add that it would convert to about +3F.

I was also thinking "SNOW DAY" but it was too warm to even stick to the streets. It snowed off and on until about 4:00. Texas*princess knows that we don't usually get snow, we just get ice - boy is that a pain in the ass!

I HATE SNOW!!! I lived in Michigan for almost 25 years and I have been living in Ohio for the past two. My college graduation was cancelled because of the December 2000 blizzard. I lived with my husband and two of my friends...we were stuck in our townhouse for 2 days because no one was allowed on the roads. Walking to the store to get food in thigh high snow is not my idea of a fun day.

tinydancer, i didn't even know it usually iced around here! I just figured it would be colders since it's farther north than i'm used to.

I'm still relatively new to the area and I think it shows -- after I found out it was snowing, I jumped outside and took all kinds of pictures with my camera. I'm such a dork

I don't get snow where I live in cali, it's usually rain. It has snowed 2 time in my life so far. 1st time my family and I built a snow man and had snow fights. That was fun. For snow, u drive up to the sierra nevada (1.5 hrs away). Which is fine with me.
