Hobbies Anyone

OK, y'all...I've been thinking about taking some Golf lessons. My 6yr. old son has been taking golf lessons for the past few months and it would be great for him if his parents could go out there and play with him sometime.

Anybody else have any hobbies? What do you like to do in your "spare" time....I use that term so loosely, 'cause as a full-time working wife/mother the term "spare time" is a complete joke to me.

And by the way...if any of you do enjoy Golf...I'd love some recommendations on purchasing clubs.

I am going to take the golf course offered at my school next semester. One of my friends is an avid golfer, he said that you should not make an investment and buy the really good clubs until you are a really proficient player.

Anyway, my hobbies:

Reading
Shopping, I absolutely love to shop. It just lifts my spirits but the shame is that I can't really afford to enjoy this hobby as often as I'd like to.
Watching comedies
Upholstery
Sewing
Interior decorating.

I rarely have time to enjoy all of my hobbies as much as I'd like to. I did promise myself last year that I would make the time to do something that I really like at least once a week.

Hobbies, as it were

Jazz listening. I have no musical talent, else I would be interested in learning to play an instrument.

Gourmet cooking.

Journaling, which I do less of because I write for a living.

And shopping. I'm the queen of deals.

Ok, Classylady.... I don't mean to laugh at you, but this just cracked me up. I've never heard of upholstery as a hobby. What are you upholstering? I think you and my sister would get along well, lol.

I admit that this is an unusual hobby for a college student. I don't live on Park Place. The apartment that I have is nice, but needed a lot of aesthetic work when I moved in. So, I have become skilled in several areas of decorating.

And, I don't have much money, so a lot of the furniture that I own is hand-me-down. Some of the mess was to' up. I am not about to look at an orange and green plaid couch (even though those are my school colors) so I had to figure out a way to make it look a whole lot better. I got a staple gun and some fabric and went to town.

Shopping (although I'm seriously cutting back. when i feel low, nothing makes me feel better than hitting my favorite mall. i hate that some of the salespeople know me. i feel guilty. i went into a store that i frequent alot and the lady said, "where have you been! i haven't seen you in so long!" i was like, "okay, you really shop too much)

Reading and TV (i am a tv and book-o-holic. it's really bad)

Baking (i love to bake. it's so relaxing. my favorite now is creme brulee. before that it was homemade cakes and icings.)

My only hobby is writing. I proofread for a living temporarily. However, writing is my true love!

You Go Girl!!!

I like to read...although I don't have much time for extracurricular reading during the semester.

I want to learn how to sew...proficiently, I am in the process of finding several nice fabrics because I want to replace all of the curtains in my home, except my bedroom.

I need to make exercising my hobby
