Politicians to help Greeks

Finally something I can applaud President Bush for...

The article is ridiculous, and I hate the tone, but it has some great links and information about what those members of the house and Senate are doing for us undergrads.

Check out the lists of greek affiliations, and some of the other stuff.

Article

That effort has been a long time coming. I recall last April or May many Executive Directors were in D.C. meeting with their alumni that worked there.

However, could that article have had any more negative spin than it already did? I mean come on, the writing style and comments were just juvenile.

Thumbs up

2 of my sisters (one is a past Recognition of Eminence winner) are in this!

I agree the tone is ridiculous, but what do you expect, it's Slate.

I enjoyed the article... Never knew we had 8 Representatives that were Sigma Nu's..

Knew about Trent Lott and Bob Graham of the Senate though.

Slate

Slate is satirical in nature-- their opinions are not necessarily meant to be taken entirely at face value. Still the information is excellent and everyone interested should visit the NIC website to stay updated.

It's SARCASM!

Slate is a satire magazine, written from a left-of-center perspective. They reinterpret the news in an acerbic tone. Yes, the articles are based on real events, but aren't meant to be taken as seriously as they are being now.

I prefered the national anthem to be "shout" instead of "wooly bully." anyway, slate is the grown man version of the onion. read it and laugh. don't take stuff too seriously.
