Badge/Ring thingy
Hey All,
I thought I might have better luck in here, with all of the Greek Organizations represented in here.
I'm looking for somewhere that I can order a ring that I can pin my badge through so I can wear my badge as a ring. Does anybody know anything about these? Thanks so much and happy holidays!

You might want to check with your HQ. We have ones for alums to wear and your group might too.

I've never seen one of those, but Kappa offers something to pin our badge on to wear as a necklace. We have key "rings" (but not badges) that wrap around a finger, but our badge (unlike Phi Mu's) would not work as a ring without damaging it. Our official jeweler offers the necklace charm. You might want to check with Phi Mu's official jeweler or with HQ.

I'm pretty sure Alpha Gold has these in their catalog, although I didn't see them on their website.

We can get rings through the jeweler who sells our badges. I don't know who yours are purchased through, we use Masters of Design (and I know they do a number of sororities).

I don't know of an official site, but I do know that one of our alums has her Badge set as a ring. She mentioned that her parents gave it to her as a graduation gift. I think her parents went to their local jeweler and the jeweler had to make a mold of the Badge....so maybe a jeweler near you will be able to do the same thing!

We get our badges through Masters of Design too and I believe I've seen the rings through both Masters of Design and Alpha Gold. There should be a link from your homepage or someone at your office who can give you information too. If you use Masters of Design they can send you a brochure that specifies the items that your fraternity allows you to purchase. You can request one from them online.

http://www.burrpatt.com There wasn't one listed on the AGD ring site but there might be one on some other group's page.
I have had a badge ring holder for many years although my it doesn't fit my finger anymore
I love my Badge but it doesn't make a great ring, esp. with the one with all the pearls. It's a little too bulky. I tended to bump my hands alot and was afraid that I would damage the Badge.
So, the #1 question would be how much do you care if your Badge gets bumped several times a day?
BP doesn't have Phi Mu on their site.

We aren't allowed to change our badge in any way such as a ring or as a charm.
I think it would be nice to have my badge in smaller for as a charm on on a wide band ring. I know Delta Gamma has smaller badge charms and such.

I don't think I'd want to get my badge turned into a ring. I'm not sure how old it is, but from the looks of it, it's probably pretty old. I'd hate to do anything to alter it. If I really wanted a ring out of my badge, I'd probably order a new one through HQ and keep my current one in it's original condition.

Acutally, when one of my friends from my old neighborhood found out I was joining ASA, she bought a pin she found on ebay, and mailed it to me as a birthday gift. It looks really old, it's one with the pearls in it. Definitely a nice surprise!

you might want to check with your nationals to make sure you are allowed to do that with your badge. sigma kappa has specific rules about how we are allowed to wear our badges. just a thought.
