Question A sisterfriend wants to know

AAright ya'll you pretty much know that I attend a school without Greek organizations, so the other day we were on break and this woman had a Zeta Phi Beta sweatshirt on. So I asked her was she a Zeta she looked at me kind of suprised and said no. I really didn't know what else to say so I just said thank you and walked off!! Well later on, she just kept staring at me like she was waiting for me to say something else to her. Was there something else that I was supposed to say, or if she was a Zeta was I suppose to ask in another way? Holla at me with your opinions. Peace.. Traci

Oh, it seems she was being sarcastic. Unfortunately, there are some perps who were Zeta para and that's no lie.

She probably felt insulted. Don't worry about it. You just did not know.

mrstraci,

Being new to greekdom I've seen some Sorors who want you to greet them in a certain way and then on the other hand if you don't know for sure you are either insulting someone or exposing a fraud. I've learned to take the "bumps in the road" and learn from them. I had the same thing happen to me at my school which is also BGLO lacking but this Soror was more than excited to see that someone recognized what she stood for.
