Hehe... sounds a lil familiar. I just filled out my application a few weeks ago. Since then I've been elected also! (Yay! Go me!) I'm the Triangle Correspondent. I wanted to do that because I'm into the whole journalism thing and I'm excited about writing stuff for our national magazine and producing our newsletter! Plus I get to be on Cabinet
Recording secretary is an important job. There's a lot of responsibility, and I am sure you know that. I think you should list everything you have done in the chapter during your last office. I also think you should make suggestions of what you'd do in your new office. An example would be making spreadsheets on Excel that have a record of everyone's attendance, points (assuming your chapter uses a point system because mine does), excused absences, etc. That way you could post it every other week and people would kind of know where they stand.
I'd also mention about how you have good attendance. It is very important that the recording secretary be at all chapter and house meetings. I'd also mention that you were organized, seeing how that is important, too.
Good luck! I hope you get your position
