Everyone in Atlanta
Hi Sisters!
There is exciting news to share with everyone! The Gold Hills Holiday Gala will be held at the Atlanta Hospital Hospitality House (AHHH) on Saturday, December 7th at 8pm
The AHHH has opened the House to us to come and see the facility, talk with the people staying there and see what we can do to help. The Atlanta area GSS chapters will also be invited to send representatives to the Gala (as many as you like) in hopes that we can all come together to help the AHHH as a group.
Our President, Garrick Hill, is a member of the Board of Directors and has worked with the House Director to make this a new project for us all. The AHHH is a non-profit home that houses family members from out-of-town when their family members are in need of hospitalization. Anyone who has had to travel to go to a specialist understands that lodging is an incredible expense.
We could help them out by arranging for donations of food, detergents and toiletries. For those of us in the area, we can also help by providing cleaning and routine maintenance (painting, misc housework, etc). We can also hold fundraisers for the House and help with the annual golf tournament (Cynthia, Garrick and I did this last time and it was great.)
For the Holiday Gala, please bring a canned food donation, and any new health/beauty/bath products you would like to donate (shampoo, shower gel, soap). We need everyone to RSVP as soon as possible and include your T-Shirt size. The cost of the Gala, which includes dinner and a favor is $20 per person. You may wear ANYTHING –within reason-from jeans to a ballgown.
