Yes, I'll be there.

It's only the 2nd time in history that two women have been up for a gubernatorial office...and I'll be there to make my vote count...even if it does mean voting for the lesser of two evils.

It's a long story...

Sent in my absentee ballot a few days ago.

Also, subtle endorsements:

If you're voting in CT, vote John Rowland (although the polls already have him way up anyways)

If you're voting in MA, vote Mitt Romney (going to be a tight tight race, probably go down to the wire)

Nah, I voted for Shannon O'Brian. It's really a lesser of two evils move but Romney's tax evasion scandal didn't help. Also, I read some articles in the Boston Globe about how Romney was using his sex appeal to attract women voters and I found that insulting. I am living in PA for school now and not sure if I'm moving back to MA after graduation so the gubernatorial election didn't matter that much to me. i also decided in the end not to vote for the bilingual education. It was a hard decision to make but in the end I couldn't support a move that gave families so much power to sue teachers.

Anyways, GO VOTE! SAVE DEMOCRACY!

Although the republicans will probably retain control of the house, we all know the senate is where the real power lies

so get out there and vote for your local democratic candidate

otherwise you never know what Dubya might try and pull

Actually the House and the Senate are pretty much equals. The Senate has just become important RECENTLY because the party that controls the white house controls the house and does not control the Senate... Therefore it is a body that must be bargained with if the pres wants to get his way.

Remember back in '94 it was the Republican controlled house that ran the show.

umm, i know theyre technically equals (i'm a poli sci major) but historically too, the senate has always been seen as more prestigious, only 2 per sate, while there can be 20/30/50 etc representitives per state in the house.

Nope... voted for Curry. He doesn't have much of a shot at winning, but still...

I am about to go vote Democrat. Barnes, Cleland, and Taylor are all safe with me. The only repulican I will probaby vote for is the insurance comisinor. He has done a great job so far.

Ooooh, this popsicle is finally back. It's pouring and cold and I went and stood in line for 35 minutes.(Thank God my in-laws kept the baby.) I couldn't figure out why the line was poking along and someone said that all the senior citizens were having issues with the touch screen voting. (Although I heard a departing woman scream to her friend in line, "You can do it, Mabel! It's just like your microwave!")

It only took me 2 minutes to vote my split ticket. Then I helped a friend wrestle a giant wheelchair across the muddy ground and into her car, which was being blocked by some truck. Why do normal events always end up as adventures for me? Now I'm finally warm and dry in front of the computer with a hot drink...ahhh...God bless the USA!
