do you ever have the feeling that you want to throw something against a wall just to get out frustration? what do you actually do instead?

I don't do anything instead, sometimes I actually DO throw things against the wall.

Yeah, why not throw something against the wall? As long as you don't throw someone against the wall, it's okay...

Well, that depends what context it's in.

How come my mind has been in the gutter for the last two weeks?

1. PUT THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE

When you find yourself getting fed up and your mood is taking a turn for the worse, take a step back and put things into perspective.

Is the stress and frustration really worth it? When you look at the bigger picture, don't they seem a bit insignificant? They should, because nine times out of ten the daily problems we face are not really that important when we take a look at life as a whole.

You are alive, you have food, shelter, and freedom. These things are reason enough to smile when you wake in the morning.

2. HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO

You are expecting something in the mail. Each day you run to the mail box, filled with excitement and anticipation. And then, finally, it comes!

People love to look forward to things. Some say that anticipation of something happening is better than when it actually happens.

We all have special events that are coming up. Holidays, birthdays, vacations, weekends, etc. Keeping these in mind ill give you something to stay excited about.

3. HELP OTHERS

There is no better way to forget about your worries than to help someone else with theirs. When you take the focus off of yourself, and give your attention to helping people, your attitude will change dramatically.

I agree with KTsnake (Thats a mighty weird day in the neighborhood, j/k) but exersise doesn't have to be strenous to the point of exhoustion. Just work out doing anything. Exersise releases endorphons, which make you less pissed off.

RUN, RUN, RUN!!!! Like others said, strenuous exercise is great for the mind. It will make you feel like 800 pounds were lifted from your shoulders.

Edited to add, take a boxing class, one on the bags. It is a great way to hit things and get your frustrations out without harming others.

When I'm really frustrated, and stuff has been builting up, I usually snap. Most of the time I punch the wall or hard object (NEVER PEOPLE), which feels so good after I have done it, it seems really stupid at the time, but it makes me feel better because A) It hurts, and gets me to step back and think "Okay, take a deep breath and think, is this really that big of a deal." and B) Gets all of my energy out. Sometimes, I want to throw stuff, and I have to use all my strength not to throw things like my cell phone because I know I will regret it 2 seconds later when it's in like 10 pieces. Yelling doesn't help me, but punching stuff always does.
