I am the same way about FSU. I live real close to Tallahassee only about an hour and half away. Been there many times and I like the city just hate the sports teams. Just never liked them for some reason. The Dawgs never play them, just random hatred I guess.lol

I'm just happy anytime a Florida team loses... I think Florida gets more attention than it really deserves. The talent in the Big 12 is so much better

Talent doesn't matter - it's the WINS that get attention. 
Yes, I realize my team has had better seasons, but I am not a fairweather fan. (Been a Gator fan since the 70s, went to school there when our team was on probation - I've seen it all!)
And though I hate the Noles and the Canes (and I am also an alumna of UM), I DO feel a sort of pride when they beat out of state teams!
(I am a native Miamian & a proud Floridian - for 30+ years!)

A W against Texas is one thing..
A W against West Virginia, Syracuse, etc... completely different.
It's just that teams in FLA seem to get undue media attention and are overrated in polls.
Anyone remember Fla State and Weinke in 2000?
