Is my age gap a problem with my Fraternity?

Hello.

I got a bid to my fraternity the other day and i’m super excited to start pledging. We have around 20 guys in my PC. My frat seems to have a good retainment (not dropping pledges). I learned that in a previous PC, they dropped a few dudes for regular stuff, mostly grades, etc- but one guy was dropped for being 20 dating a 16yr old (ew) i see perfectly clear why that’s a problem, but now it has me worried. I am 19 dating a 17yr old (we both just had our birthdays) we met when we were both in HS and have been dating for over a year. And i’m not sure if they will see this like a problem just like the other guy and drop me, so i’m really looking for advice from the perspective of other fraternity members and regular college students on if this is a problematic age gap that risks dropping, or if it should be acceptable and fine?

I know the easiest way to get dropped is being weird, and idk how this situation is interpreted and i would just like some viewpoints of this going forward.

Thank you.

LMDAO at the concept of 17 and 19 being an "age gap."

Also the 20 year old probably got dropped not because his girl was 16 but because his brain was still in high school and hometown with her.

Kids these days.

So you don't think it should be a problem/be cause to get dropped? And I shouldn't worry about it?

Ik the guy I was talking to that told be about this made a "joke" saying 19 & 17 is pedophilic (I didn't even mention my relationship, he just brought it up himself) and said 37 & 18 is better since its legal (tho in my state its 16)

Ik pledgeship needs to be my #1 focus over relationship so I won't make whaterver mistake that guy did, I'm just concerned on if they may see my relationship age as an issue like the other guy and drop me too (considering how 17 still means HS)

I skipped a grade so was 17 most of my freshman year. No one seemed to care that most guys were 2 or more years older than me. I don't think anyone ever considered it a problem. A couple of guys I dated were seniors. No issues
